Organisations worldwide are racing to develop a universally recognised label for "human-made" products and services as part of the growing backlash against AI use.

Amazon Japan has notified its package delivery drivers that it is lowering compensation rates from April 5 and stated it will terminate contracts if employees do not accept the changes.

For many drivers, the rate changes the company notified them of meant a pay cut, and a number of workers have since reached out to Japan's Fair Trade Commission.

Among them is a 33‑year‑old man working as a delivery driver in the Kansai region. The job pays him about 100,000 yen ($628) per month, accounting for roughly half of his monthly earnings.

Americans criticize US state department, with one person saying she felt ‘betrayed’ and treated like ‘an afterthought’

US citizens living in the Middle East say they’re “angry” at the US state department, criticising the Trump administration for having no “backup plan” to help them leave the region in the hours and days after the start of the US-Israel war on Iran.

One person, whose family voted for Trump for his anti-war stance, said she felt “betrayed” and what she perceived as the treatment of US citizens as “an afterthought”.

She was 23 years old. My mum got her when i was a teen and i was bullied and she was in a place where other cats were mean to her. So we just sort of hangout. She was my friend and she was very shy but with me she would let me shove my head into her furr when things were hard. I loved to pet her very gently and slowly. My mum gave her the best life a kitty could have.

RIP kitty

Fascism is always dumb, it by definition is a silencing of unique, diverse voices.

In just the last year, the Trump administration has derailed an international carbon tax, boosted forecasts for oil and gas, and sought to silence an island nation’s climate campaign.

It is as if you have walked into a branch of one of Vietnam’s banks. A row of customer service desks, divided by plastic screens, with landline phones, promotional leaflets and staff business cards. A seated waiting area and a private meeting room. All of it features the OCB bank’s logo, or its trademark green colour.

This is not a genuine bank branch, however. It’s one of various “mock up” rooms inside a sprawling compound on the Thai-Cambodian border, where criminal groups are accused of using elaborate and industrial-scale fraud schemes to trick victims into handing over money.

The scammers behind the compound targeted people not just in Vietnam, but across Asia, Australia and South America, according to documents and props discovered inside.

Within the six-floor building, in the Cambodian border town of O’Smach, there are rooms designed to look like offices for police forces from Australia, Singapore and China. There are even fake uniforms, badges and scripts to be read over the phone to victims.
