I have to say that some bosses get easier with this build. Sadly not Lost Lace. Turns out she is pretty good in punishing your attempt to heal.

Sure, it's not the best crest, the platforming is also one of the worst due to the pogoing, but ironically it's a lot more fun to play due to exactly that. It's hard to get used to at first, but once you figured out you should be aiming what's front of you rather than the below, it becomes a fascinating and actually viable way to fight flying enemies. Fury allows you to go all out disregarding nearly every incoming attacks, and during fury you hit enemies so fast that you can almost start another fury after it ends if you do it optimally.

If you ever plan to make a second playthrough, please give beast crest some love! (though I wouldn't recommend it if it's the first playthrough as beast crest quirk is distracting)

I just did the twisted child ending. I wanted to get all silk hearts before, but I was so frustrated by failing The Unravelled that I had to leave it and try some good bosses instead. I'd say The Unraveled is on par with Broodmother as worst boss yet.

You might be aware of the cut ending that was discovered within days after release:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0gWOVrdGEg

Well, It turns out there is a soundtrack for this cutscene named "Strung to Serve" , and was included in the official soundtracks on Steam. It was on the first day of release but quickly removed by the same day.

with reddit's recent practises, this post would get me on a list on reddit, not an over exageration. however, here i dont need to worry.

In the new public beta, Silk Soar now goes through room transition. I think it could be a pretty big deal in act 3 routing.

If you are playing on a keyboard, when you are in inventory you can press [ and ] to switch between menus. You have no idea how much time I've spent spamming arrow keys before this huge discovery.

... the Void! I couldn't have been happier to see it expanded upon in Silksong, it's probably my favorite aspect of the worldbuilding, but we still know almost nothing about it.

Feel free to share any fun ideas or theories! I also have a few questions I'd love to get this communities thoughts on:

  1. Is there one huge mass of Void that reaches to Hallownest, Pharloom & possibly other kingdoms, but still ultimately just one finite body of "liquid"? Or is it below everything?

  2. Is there anything solid below, and if so, how deep does it go? (e.g. in relation to the depth of GMSs cocoon)

  3. Is the surface everywhere generally on the same elevation? Some small openings below Hallownest are at slightly different heights, but not by much. Below Pharloom AFAIK it's either the same, or all the same height.

  4. Are the Void Tendrils creatures living inside the body of liquid? Or are they manifestations of the Void itself? If they are creatures, were they born like that, or did they turn into that form?

  5. When the White Lady mentions the Void in the Red Memory, she says:

Witness, the first light. The only means we possess to resist that void with which our family is forever linked.

Does "our family" here refer to the Pale King, White Lady, Hornet etc., or is it referring to Pale beings in general?

  6. Do you think the creation of Pale beings is somehow related to the creation of the Void? I have a feeling the contrast is deliberate.

I was just thinking about how some people say they want silent protagonists in order to self insert better as the player character. For me I rather want to have a good consistent story, no matter if the player character is pre determined or I can choose. And since Hornet talks in her game, we are able to learn more about this world and its inhabitants thoughts, which is the thing I'm nearly most interested in.

For Hollow Knight it fit lore wise that the protagonist couldn't talk, but it also limited player expression and exploration of the NPCs.

I was listening to the soundtrack of Silksong, while searching for music to use in my DnD campaign, and I became quite unsure of what emotions and feelings Shellwood is supposed to convey?

What emotions or story is Shellwood trying to tell? (not just in music)

To me, the music is quite mournful, and the area is seems somewhat dead, but what is the point?
