Lips getting a bit too dry for the chapstick to handle so I bought a clear lip gloss… however turns out it’s coconut scented 🤢 The scent is also lowkey burning my lips.
I give up man, all the beauty products seem to stink and hurt. I’d use coconut oil/vaseline/pawpaw but don’t want to be sticking my fingers into pots and touching my mouth. (The cat also loves pawpaw ointment and would try to lick it off)
Lots balms have something like menthol/camphor/mint in them. When your lips are dry or cracked the last thing I need is for them to slathered in spicy ingredients. Why do they put in in there???
Mine seem to hate castor oil too. Stinging and peeling
I found Molton Brown plain lip balm very safe and I am pretty sensitive to lip stuff, having thrown away so many glosses and pencils
Vaseline and a cotton bud is what goes in this house.
Too much hassle
I’ll just deal with it
I found the best ones are those lip balms you get from the honey stalls at markets. Soothing, long lasting and the unflavoured ones aren't attractive tasting enough to eat (which is my problem!)
@PeelerSheila @melbaboutown Unfortunately, they're going out of business. But, if there's still a Body Shop still open anywhere near you, their hemp honey lip balm works well.
(If there isn't one still open near you, various online stores that also sell them...)
