Yes, there is certainly a group within the Democratic Party that prefers a hereditary dictatorship headed by the Trump family to any progressive.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world -1 points 4 months ago

The progressives would rather have Trump then 90% of democrats so I guess those two groups have something in common!

Centrists got their second choice in 2016.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

We're talking about the current year, 2024.

Not nearly a decade ago.

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Centrists have only moved to the right since then.

Now they've adopted Trump's immigration policy and are happily supporting genocide.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world -1 points 4 months ago

But it seems if you move a bit to the left all the sudden you’re supporting Trump himself.

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

According to centrists, yes. Opposition to genocide is regularly met with accusations of being a Trump supporter here.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world -1 points 4 months ago

I remember months of ‘Biden is masterminding a genocide’ followed by ‘Biden is too old and incompetent’ so I keep getting confused about what the issue is why you won’t vote for Trump’s only viable competition.

I remember months of ‘Biden is masterminding a genocide’

Masterminding and supporting are two different things. You know this and have chosen to misrepresent the position of people who you hate because they're not on board with murdering Palestinian children.

followed by ‘Biden is too old and incompetent’

Sorry your wing of the party could no longer hide that.

so I keep getting confused about what the issue is why you won’t vote for Trump’s only viable competition.

I'll vote for Biden if he's the nominee. Not that you care. You're too hung up on trying to make sure your genocide supporting god encounters no criticism whatsoever.

You sure assume a lot about me but you don’t even know me.

I don’t hate anyone.

You sure assume a lot about me but you don’t even know me.

Lotta that goin' around.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world -1 points 4 months ago

Yes, but it’s very one sided.

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Tell me who I'm not voting for again.

I hope he's no longer in the race by then, but if he is, I'll be voting for him. And resenting the party that manipulated me into voting for someone who supports genocide.
