Depending on their ages, they sometimes lack the vocabulary to put their feelings into words, especially if they're new feelings or sort of vague feelings or worries. It's frustrating because it's hard to know what prompts to give to get them talking. Sounds like you're doing the right thing and you're there for them and they know that, that's all you can do sometimes.

Tom is the best dad , along with all the other dads here. I'm sure once they can they will talk. ๐Ÿ™‚

Their speech was always going to be delayed because they're twins. One is putting together two word sentences pretty consistently now and the other understands everything but doesn't talk as much.

I've put together some flashcards using the program Anki and it has really helped them start recognising things and saying a few words
