There is an air of sadness among a lot of the comments and posts within this sub. These people are absolutely suffering from a massive cognitive dissonance episode. Like, this comment isn't even that funny, it's just sad. A group of people seeking answers and instead inventing their own. They don't even have a figurehead to point to as the source of this kind of thinking, it's just a collective belief rooted in the election subversion narrative of both the 2016 election, and the 2020 election.
The more I read stuff from the sub, especially low-ranking comments, the more I can't help but imagine these directionless people spiraling down the well of despair. It's very likely many of these people have very little support networks to help them out of this weird place they found themselves in.
Hasan observed that’s where the difference will be between blueanon and MAGA. Whereas mainstream conservative politicians latched onto the Stop the Steal rhetoric, no mainstream liberal is going to touch this shit with a 40 foot pole. Which is going to be really sad when one of them gets the opportunity to ask a prominent liberal politician or pundit about this and get told “stop being weird” in a roundabout, polite way.
