Yeah that was a crazy moment for me too, I have a very vivid memory of taking off my glasses in school and comparing how little I could see with how much my friends could see. Also finding out that most people don't have astigmatism was wild. What do you mean you don't see the beams of light that come out of every light source?
What kind of glasses did you get? I've worn square glasses for the past ten years but just today I change to a kind of roundish hexagonal pair, and I really like them. Glasses fashion is fun
