General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Well of course they do. She's too left wing for Keir's right wing party.

Take the hint that they don't want you Diane and join Corbyn and Sultana in making a genuine left wing labour party. Fuck the red Tories, let their party bleed.

If enough jump ship they might finally take the hint that pandering to Reform and the far right, when they're meant to be the party of unions and the working class, is fucking moronic and traitorous.

Well of course they do. She’s too left wing for Keir’s right wing party.

She's not that left in my view, maybe I just missed it but I've never seen her advocating for actual important left wing issues.

So I asked copilot, which issues does diane abbot advocate for, and it's basically just social justice stuff. Which is important, don't get me wrong but the biggest social justice issue is wealth inequality and class which she barely talks about.

I don't see any evidence that she's advocated for some other system but neo liberal capitalism, just friendlier to women and minorities.

Even then she's managed to put her foot in it over and over as well as outright racist comments that she's made.

So to be honest, as a leftie, I hope they keep her and any left wing alternative stays away. She's nothing but a liability and in all honesty she needs to just retire and fuck off. She's 71, she's too old, got no ideas and when you get down to it. she's racist herself.

Let Labour keep her, please.
