I think, that I would pick her up. After all how many horror movies are there where the sexy, female hitchhiker is actually the serial killer?
She is statistically in far more danger than the driver
That seems to be the sad reality and it basically is the non-consent variant of the porn plot.
Thing is, her boyfriend waits in the bushes.
Yeah, that is probably how the plot would go.
Kinda like that scene from The Book of Eli. Woman sitting there all helpless...then a handful of guys pop out.

I scroll a comment further, and there goes my thought, already laid out by another person.
Especially in zombie survival movies. Except in Zombieland, there it's just the sister I think.
That would actually be a fun slasher concept.
A similar one would be a slasher constantly trying to catch her but people keep helping her out and getting slashed themselves, all while she remains oblivious and thinks its just bad luck.
I’m not sure how good the concept would work in „serious“ horror movie, but I could definitely see it as part of a „Scary Movie“-type parody.
