I don't smoke a pipe very often, so I don't normally have a type I get consistently. I currently have some Smoker Friendly brand and Captain Black brand. I use to be more in to cigars but it gets really cold here and I often don’t want to be outside for an hour.

I'm a cigar guy, but I've wanted to learn to smoke a pipe. It's a bit more involved and ritualistic and that seems appealing on occasion. They are also beautiful little trinkets compared to a cigar.

Also, nice scenary in that pic.

The nice thing about the pipe is it is fairly low maintenance. I used to have a winedor and so many cigars and then you would be worried about bringing in new ones and contaminating the stock, keeping them just moist enough in this dry climate, rotating them so one side doesnt get more humid than the other. now I just roll up the tobacco bag and throw it in a ziplock. I used to smoke Black and Milds as a rowdy teenager so I have always liked the pipe tobacco taste. I inhale about 10% of the puffs as I like that nicotine buzz feeling. Hard to do that with a cigar on purpose more than once.

Thanks, I am lucky to live in an incredibly beautiful area but dont let the house fool you. I am the 99% poorest in the town I live in and I work for the type of people that own the house in the background.
