I believe Andrew WK's end goal is to make it ambiguous if he ever existed. He wants to make his own identity a conspiracy theory, because he thinks it's funny, or artistic or something. From the whole Steev Mike thing, to the times he's come out on stage identifying as the second Andrew WK, or how he'll occasionally drop off the face of the Earth. He's deliberately trying to concoct a conspiracy theory about how he's not a real person, even though he is. He wants to be remembered as this mysterious ethereal construct.

I have a hunch that the cultural association with owning a big dog as better than a small dog is an effort from dog food companies to sell more dog food.

My pet conspiracy theory is very specific but I'm very convinced of it. I'm convinced Death Stranding and Metal Gear Survive were at one point the same game. For some background info: Hideo Kojima was the director of the Metal Gear Solid games. For unknown reasons, he was fired from his parent company of Konami in 2015, shortly after the release of Metal Gear Solid V. Metal Gear Survive released in 2018, the next game in the series. It was made without Kojima's input and is largely dismissed by fans of the series. Death Stranding was Kojima's next game, which released in 2019

I truly believe Survive was made from very early test builds of Death Stranding, including things like the basic structure of the narrative and gameplay. Both games involve building structures in large, empty areas. Both games are about managing stamina while taking long treks on foot. Both games involve collecting a crystal resource to purchase upgrades or build structures. Both games center around themes of death, parallel worlds, and connecting people. Konami 100% seized control of whatever Kojima had been working on, slapped some Metal Gear stuff and zombies onto it, then called it a day.

Covid was around from a lot earlier, but capitalist medicine just missed it.

This is because I had an illness from late summer 2019 to feb 2020 with all the halmarks of Covid & longcovid. Spent many weeks thinking I might not wake up in the morning nothing was even found. It is in my records as "post upper respiratory infection complications". I was treated for every single symptom separately (no one looked at the big picture) and as a woman with medical history in anxiety (turns out it's actually audhd), most of what I tried to get help for was dismissed as "in your head".

Also studied biology when young, read all about covid and the whole discourse on how it could have not been missed is just sus to me. In my later gender studies it has become very clear to me how diagnosis work and how this could have been missed. In my neoliberal country a lot of older folks die from "upper respiratory" things and nothing even gets actually really tested, this has been the norm for quite a while. If nobody is looking, nobody will likely notice.

Also the vaping illnesses, still not fully sure if they were what they think it was. At least not entirely.

I think there's a huge corruption thing going on with road maintenance in most big cities.

There's a station that hasn't had road work for a total of three months over the last 5 years.
They took up the road to put down new fiber cables for innanet. Put road back.
Took up road to put down new heating. Put road back.
Took up road to put down new sewage. Put road back.
Took up road to fix electrical wires. Put road back.
Took up road to fix road layout. Put road back.
Took up and so on and so forth.

It's all same city agency, so why aren't the departments communicating, to just do it all at the same time? They do so elsewhere. Someone must have a connection that gets a lot of money from selling asphalt or something

This is a personal one of mine, and it goes hand in hand with all of the dating app theories I saw on here. "call-in" radio shows about bad dates/cheating etc are all about reinforcing traditional values, creating a moral panic about LGBTQ people and non-traditional relationships. These shows are scripted, syndicated and ran on various drive time radio shows across the USA. The "stories" frequently vilify people who don't fit the trad cis het norm and scare people into assuming that everyone they will try to date is some strawman maniac.

Undoubtedly there are plenty of real life date horror stories. But, dating seems scary enough and shit like this doesn't make it easier for people to connect.
