These are used for joining together pieces of wood, usually for furniture. Don’t eat ‘em.

Source: am carpenter.

Then why are they called biscuits??

[-] Cruxifux@lemmy.world 23 points 1 year ago

Because they look like biscuits. The tool you use to cut in the holes you use to put them in is literally called a biscuit joiner.

Also they’re delicious. But don’t fuckin’ eat em.

Oh. Well, at least they won't crumble in my coffee.

Saw these in a hardware store the other day and really wanted to try one. Someone should bring them into their office and see if people will eat them

I would since I thought this was some kind of food until reading your comment (though it would be a bit overpriced for what looks like terrible cookies)

[-] Mothra@mander.xyz 6 points 1 year ago

I would totally fall for it

You can always sit on a street corner with some and try handing them out to strangers saying "body of Christ."

The picture on the package looks just like a stroopwafel.

[-] ComfyMuffin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I'll bet they have caramel on the inside, eh?

You have to let it soften first by placing it over a warm cup of tea

I recognize a Menards price tag when I see one.

Man they're dark, I thought they were actual biscuits for a second, and I'm a carpenter.

[-] tipicaldik@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

They taste just like those little wooden spoons we'd get with our ice cream cups

When someone says something tastes like cardboard, give them one of these…

[-] idunnololz@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Wtf type of price is 6.65.

[-] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

6 local currency units plus 65 hundredths of one local currency unit. Looks fine to me.

[-] llama_spit@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Plumbing, electrical, appliances too...

[-] SonicBlue03@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

They're also not as crispy as you'd expect a wafer to be.

[-] Sho@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

This gives mad "bachelor chow" vibes

[-] Etterra@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

What the hell kind of biscuits are these wafer cookie rejects? Dog biscuits?

[-] sagrotan@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Awful packaging, tons of plastic.

They look like dog snacks...

Anything above #12 is basically garbage. #6 is where it's at with these.
