Since generalist predators control them planting a pollinator/predator flower blend is recommended. These are nectar producing species in a collection that blooms all year long.
This will attract and give habitat for the generalist predators. It works pretty well. Since I turned my front flowerbed into one I almost never seen aphids on my roses anymore.
