Nope, what you seek is impossible

No idea about dads but I wear these and they are great. I lose them all the time and they're cheap enough that I don't mind, and they also provide some impact protection.

Just don't wear them with a red hat.

[–] nutsack@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 week ago

how about some see through red ones that are too small for your head

Hum, you will need to transition first...

I don't see that lens option.

[–] nutsack@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 week ago

Maybe pair it with a Tshirt that explains the position you’re in

"Grandpa,
and proud of it!"

I don’t know if these particular ones are actual sunglasses or toys, but I have some in that style that are proper polarised sunglasses; they certainly don’t look conservative.

[–] Heikki2@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Any time I see people wearing these, my first thought is that these are "high-speed, BJ glasses"

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I didn't even know sunglasses did that. Remember that when you're out in the real world you aren't on social media. Go ahead and wear whatever you want.

Is there a specific reason as to why you want wrap around sunglasses, apart from aestethics?

I mean if you need to work outdoors and need protection from the sun covering every angle or need protection from wind I can see that they are the only real option...

But if you are only looking for that kind of sunglasses for the style, I'd encourage you to look for other styles.

I am very happy with my Persol glasses from five years ago

[–] starlinguk@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Bucket hat.

"Conservative Dad" can look quite fashionable if done right.

[–] Xaphanos@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Yup. Lean into the MCM styling.

Probably not, how much do you look like a dad?

[–] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Heatwaves, you look like a conservative that left their family.

[–] j4k3@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Head shape matters. I only wear sports stuff for cycling and do not care what others think of that. My old Smith's saved an eye once. I only like to ride with frameless because roadie. The cheap Chinese NRC frameless are half decent. They have a full range photochromic version and their plasma metal sputtered coatings are good quality, but the lens shape is a basic flat. People think they are high end but mostly due to my other older riding gear that is very high end. Still, when casual I wear aviators.

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago (3 children)

I stopped wearing sunglasses because it's the look of fascism. Also no red ball caps as well. I don't see my flag in the same light anymore either because of these people.

[–] Psythik@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Took you long enough. I haven't seen my flag in the same light since Reagan.

Get over yourself. Nobody is looking at what glasses you're wearing.

[–] Krudler@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Yep and they're also looking at the New Balance shoes and rumpled size 46 Kirkland pants
