Hey,
I have studio flashes and wanted to play around with colored lighting. The only option seems to be to use those barn-doors with gels in front. I wanted to use a softbox however. How would one go about that? Wrapping a gel around the glass bell is probably not a good idea due to the heat of the flash tube or is it?

As far as I know, not possible. Don't see the point, to be honest - diffusion of your colour will happen with the light source, so why add a softbox? Easier way will be with those RGB Led lights...

the light is pretty harsh without a softbox. For example when adding a rim light I like to use a 120cm strip light. Coloring that light would be interesting imo

Looks like they're made for a specific type of flash and likely won't fit on a studio flash
