Brain is officially back in business.

Finished a 2nd assignment that I started at 5am Sunday on LLN needs of students.

Ended up being perfect timing since I based it on the induction training I gave to a new employee 2 weeks ago who had revealed to me in their interview that they are completely illiterate.

The guy is amazing. Really mechanically gifted, super upbeat, really good memory. Everyone who meets him instantly likes him.

In his life he has been a manager from just how gifted he is mechanically and done well enough to buy his own home.

Cliched but I've definitely learnt a lot from this guy.

Bought my cat biscuits meant for sensitive stomachs and skin, the same brand as he has had before and within 10 minutes he vomited them up. I think he ate too fast but the irony is not lost on me.

I've had my garmin watch for over a month now and I had to take it off because I developed welts on my wrist like I'd been attacked by a iced vovo. They weren't burns or itchy. It wasn't tight or anything. I don't wear it in the shower or get it wet. Very odd. So I've cleaned it and I've just put it back on. Maybe I should have cleaned it before I started wearing it the first time. Anyway time to watch and wait. (Puns intended)

Like everyone else has said, I had the same issue with my silicon Apple Watch band when I first got it. It gave my a sweat rash. Eventually my skin got used to it, but I have bought a bunch of other cloth and metal bands to switch out instead. I wear the silicon one when I’m exercising or I need something waterproof, but I mostly wear the others now. I’m not sure how customisable the Garmin is in terms of bands though. There are hundreds of thousands of cheapo bands for the Apple Watch though.

I’m currently wearing my scrunchie band which is great for when I want something more breathable. I usually wear these to bed as well.

Thank god for a later start to the work day today.

Helped ease through having to wake up early again though I felt like I hardly slept last night because of very active dreams or thoughts.

Hopefully we can end today with an early finish as well and get home early.

Also been super heated here too then it got too hot and they had to let it cool down but now it’s to cold. Bleh!

One of my (late) birthday presents from my partner is a shirt from the brand Foxblood, and it's a long shirt (which is great because i won't accidentally show my stomach while walking) but the sleeves have these sort of thumb holes, so I can feel like the true emo 13 y/o wanted to be.

Here's the shirt for those curious (if you want to get it locally, I order from Bezerk, I say locally, they're based on QLD, so not so locally but within Australia).

Some of you may remember I do lunch notes for my kids. May have chosen a slightly involved theme this week...

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. They need to drop Warner. Good game England but it's not over yet.

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 5 points 2 years ago

Yeah. I think time to drop Warner. I agree.

Good game still. Hope we can do it on Day 4.

Even if they made the last catch it still wouldn’t have been enough.

Project Upscale progress - 113/550. Seems worth it in terms of quality. I'm just using Upscyl (FOSS option) for this first try, and it's doing the job so far, quite happy with the results.

Also, coming across some things I'd forgotten about -

throwback to when I got to do something cool at work - nb. image not upscaled though

An easy one, but the messed-up scale of the neighbouring countries is offputting.

So this is what I have decided. I have moved the watch to the bony part of my wrist. It's not tight. I can still get a finger in there. When it needs to be charged I will give it a clean also. I'm giving it one more chance before I swap the band over. I have already selected the band I want. It better behave.

Watched the movie Don’t Worry Darling. Was expecting a total B grade flop based on the reviews, but it was not that bad. Story was slow to get started, but the costumes and sets were very good, and the twist was a good one. It’s no Oscar winner but I’ve seen plenty worse movies.

Reading the "specials" on supermarket junk mail is fucked. Products are not a good deal at all anymore, even when on special.

The half price app has the same shit every week.

Got the lettering and the bottom part of the border done with the cross-stitch project.
Still feeling a little flat after the extraction so I think I'll stay in and have a good solid go to finish it.

My goldfish are like aquatic chickens and when I plant weed for them they dig it up in a couple of days. I’ve just spent a stupid amount of time tying bunches of weed to rocks. Let’s see ya dig that up, ratbags
