One of the parts that gets me is there is a good opportunity for more sales there (if that should happen is another debate I don't have the energy for). A few years ago I bought an electric kettle. So cue months of ads for electric kettles. It's a kettle, you only need one. Now if I had been shown different teas or coffees, stuff I would use the kettle to make, they would have absolutely hooked me easily. I had a new toy, I was excited to use it, I would have loved trying new teas with it. I still did, but they were all ones I chose.

My conspiracy theory is that it was wildly successful, because the point wasn't creating whatever VR space they claimed wanted to happen; it was to cover up the story of the Facebook papers. The timing lines up (both in October 2021 within a day or two). The additional patents acquired in the process are just a nice little bonus.

Investors ate up the idea from someone who has a history of wildly successful growth. And we all know, it would have been outcry from investors that caused any real change (in America at least) about Facebook's business practices.

I'm not a medical professional, just did a quick search to verify: the first shot wasn't available for children until 1995, so older generations couldn't get it during childhood. That shot was only for children, a version for adults over the age of 60 came later in 2006, but was limited in effectiveness. In 2017 a new vaccine was introduced with significantly higher effectiveness for people over 50.

At least two. One had it done three days later, another did it within the week. Not sure about the third person, but the other two I asked and they both said they had.

I'm glad you got yours! Definitely worth it to avoid that pain. Since it's nerve pain, most pain meds don't help. And the one that did lowered it from a 9 to a 7.

I got shingles last year. The first week I was back at work three people looked at me and said "I should get that vaccine"

I hope every antivaxxer gets shingles, and I hope their doctors remind them it was preventable.

I sent a picture of my dog to a friend yesterday, he texted me today apologizing for not texting back sooner. I told him it was okay, and reminded him of the time I didn't text for 8 months because I forgot to install the app on my new phone.

We both just know if the other one doesn't say anything, it's not because we don't care. We've gone months before saying nothing, then when we do reconnect, it's like no time passed at all.

Granted, not everyone is like that. But making friends with the people who are helps me out a lot. And my family understands, they know I don't always text back quickly.

I don't know if this helps you? But I hope you're able to find a way to feel less guilty about struggling to stay in touch, in whatever way that looks like for you.

You're gonna hate what fish do in the water.

I've been getting rid of stuff and moving towards minimalism. Today I made a lot of progress, and it really shows, it feels more peaceful and quiet in my bedroom. Also, the dog is sleeping next to me. It happens every night, and every night it brings me a little joy. 💜
