Sounds like a great project, you should definitely do it and keep us posted about it! If the community can be of any help let us know :)

Yup, looks just fine to me, especially for a stitchless project! If you liked doing it, you should try talking this a step further, maybe with a simple cardholder !? There are tons of tutorials out there if you need inspiration!

It absolutely fits as leathercraft, congrats on your work! It looks like the covers perfectly fits its purpose but pics are lacking a bit of light, if you have brighter images feel free to share them, we'd be happy to have a look!

Another strap in pueblo burgundy, but this time with a foldable buckle and yellow linen thread. I wear this one on my lil Seiko 5. Happy to share details about it, as always!

Check out the firewall settings, it could be the issue. Also don't forget to turn off VPN on both devices if you're using one.

That's a great suggestion, thank you !

Thank you for your kind words.

I used fiebings pro dye, and to apply it I just cut a kitchen sponge into bits and dipped them into the dye. Then I applied in circular motion, and damped again with dye on the areas that I wanted darker.

Also I nourished the leather with neastfoot oil prior to dyeing, I find that is helps getting a smoother, more homogeneous result.

I suggest giving it a try on some scraps before giving it a go on a nice project. You can also use isopropil alcohol to dilute the dye it you want a lighter shade.

Simple coins and card holder. Naturaliste veg tan, hand dyed, and stitched with linen thread.

As always, I'm happy to share details if anyone is interested so feel free to ask!

Been using cinnamon for a couple years and I'm happy with it, although I don't spend much time on my computer. Been recommending it as well since I don't know any better. What's the most user friendly distro you would recommend ?

Thank you for the suggestion, not a fan of FUTO, it's not FOSS and owners are shady to say the less. But I appreciate you taking the time to reply !

Hi, thanks a lot for you reply, I did tried miracast, but nothing shows up, I'll dig into it later. I'm running Graphene here, so there may be a security feature blocking casting, I should investigate this as well.

Thank you for your kind words (and for creating this sub!). It's pueblo Burgundy if you want to look for it. Although you should note that it darkens significantly over time, as it develops a rich patina.

Made with pueblo leather, I wouldn't really recommend it unless you have proper reinforcements, because it's very supple and won't hold up very good after a while.

Hi! I'm using an android-based OS on my phone (no gplay service though), and looking for a foss (and privacy-friendly) app to share my screen on TV through mi box. Is there such an app out there ? Cheers,

Nice work, and clean alignment of the rivets. Kudos on the craft!

Here's another watchstrap, I got many pics of old projects in my gallery that I'll keep share over time, hope it's not seen as spamming and that it doesn't bother anyone haha. As usual, I'm happy to share details about the build :)

Simple deck case I made. Very easy project as it's made with a single piece of leather, folded and held in shape with only 2 rivets.

Here's mobile I made, got the pattern on etsy, can't remember the name of the shop but I can look it up if someone is interested.

And here are detailed pics

Here's a bifold I made for a relative. Made it with pueblo leather, aquagum glue, meisi linen thread and fiebing dye + tokonole for the edge work.

Happy to share details about the craft.

And here are more pics:

Here's one with more details than the previous one, and one more pic of the strap from above !

Watchstraps are definitely my favorite thing to make, so here's one I made, more are probably coming haha.

I'm happy to share additional Info about it if you have any question.

Hi!

I'm looking for ways to enhance my coffee experience at home and since I'm mostly drinking drip, I figured that after grinder and water, filter has the most impact on taste (if I'm mistaken feel free to offer your advice :).

So I've started looking for suggestions on filters and read good things about Sibarist, Hario Meteor and Cafec T90 but to be honest, I don't know what to look for in a filter, so any help here is much appreciated !

Also, I'm using a cheap cilio ceramic filter rest (see attached picture), so maybe I should get something better for flow?

If the filter can be reused to avoid unnecessary waste it's a nice bonus.

Cheers,
