I highly recommend Living Skyrim. It takes around 300gb storage but it's absolutely worth it.

Let's see.

  • We'll probably be up to the iPhone 22 but I doubt that's what they'll call it.
  • We will have missed the majority of the global warming deadlines to transition to greener energy by 2030 with most companies pushing out their timeliness to 2050.
  • The buzz around AI will have died down a bit but the technology will have found its niche and been adopted both as a useful tool and the next step of enshittification against users.
  • The SpaceX Mars mission will still be nowhere to be found
  • The first $10 trillion+ market cap company will exist by then
  • There will be some other, different conflict in the middle-east
  • The invasion of Taiwan will have either already been attempted or China gives up on it and decides to focus on building their own fabs
  • Putin is still in control of Russia but extremely rarely seen outside of his bunker. Thee are many conspiracies that he is dead and has been replaced by a double
  • The war in Ukraine has stalled with neither party being able to achieve complete victory. There is an armistice in place but not a proper peace accord
  • The price of food has almost doubled again compared to today but wages only increased by 60%
  • There is an even higher social tension between the left and right but people are unwilling to try to break out of the two party system
  • Lemmy has 2-3 x users compared to today but is still a niche platform

Linking to the actual test so you don't have to visit the verge.

What is interesting to me that many failed on the driver monitoring side which to me as a consumer (not a traffic authority) is probably actually a pro not a con. I don't want my car insessantly beeping at me for dumb reasons. I wouldn't intend to use these systems without attention but stricter controls will also mean more false positives.

By this logic Lexus, Volvo, Nissan, Mercedes, and even Ford seem great (somewhat depending on the model of the car).

Whats also funny is that the Tesla utterly failed almost all categories except the lane change (and passed emergency). But it can't even do that unless you're willing to pay them extra thousands of dollars for the software unlock.

I love seeing these two assholes fight.

I think this is good though. Another data point of Apple not allowing true competition on their platform. Oh, you want your own app store? BAM! You're banned. Especially now that it seemed Epic was gonna comply with this last set of ridiculous rules.

We might get a proper way to sideload if they keep this up. We'll see...

So there is this app claiming on-device iMessage functionality on Android. Seems cool but only has subscription based pricing. Does anyone know of a way to circumvent this?

Edit: I found this but it seems a bit dodgy

It really evoked a feeling of smallness in me. Namely how small and devoid of content the universe feels.

This is made worse because every inhabited planet I go to has some elaborate situation just waiting for me to solve it. For example: I land on the landing pad, walk 30 meters through a gate and am greeted by a hostage situation in a bank where the hostage negotiator is going to let me, some random, go do his job instead of him, trusting me with the lives of everyone involved without even blinking.

It's just not an exceptional game... I get that some like it, it has some great bits like the ship builder and the improved gunplay since Fallout4, but overall it falls short. Starfield's greatest flaw isn't the constant loading screens, the limited role playing mechanics, the dated engine, the empty planets, or the 10 other things people were dunking on it when it came out. You can definitely feel the death by a 1000 cuts, but it's major flaw for me is that the game is just bland, boring, and safe which in 2023 (especially for this type of story driven game) is unforgivable.

I can't stand him either anymore. The production quality is high but the content feels very low effort and subjective. I especially cannot stand the zoom in thing as if he's saying something impactful or profound. What's worse is many of the similar channels are adopting it.

I guess that's the life cycle of a YouTube channel: Quirky and interesting -> gain traction -> adapt content for wider audiences to maintain growth -> become bland and lose the thing that was interesting to begin with

I'm looking for something like the tab stacking from Vivaldi or just the way chrome handles tab groups.

I've tried simple tab groups before but it was occasionally a bit janky and I was looking for a different UI implementation. Not really keen on using a sidebar either and the majority of extensions I found all seemed to be using the sidebar.

I've been using Youtube ReVanced for a while now and noticed the great patches for other apps also available in ReVanced manager. If you are unfamiliar ReVanced can patch other apps with additional functionality such as blocking ads and correcting other annoyances like re-enabling taking screenshots.

The whole process involves downloading, upacking, patching, repacking, and installing an APK file and it has shown the slightly aging side of my phones SD845 chip, as it takes a few minutes to complete with larger apps. Its not something that comes up too often, but when it does, it could go a bit smoother.

I wouldn't mind seeing some numbers for this workflow when choosing my next phone.

Is there a way to see what posts you have upvoted? I was trying to show a cool thing I saw on lemmy earlier to someone but I can't seem to find a list of my past upvotes.

I tried looking in Jerbora, Summit and Liftoff (still trying out the android apps), and also on the webpage of my instance, but none of these seem to have it.

Sorry if this has been asked, Google hasn't returned anything relevant.

It's Hearthstone for me. Spent a lot of time and even some money on a game that was just getting shittier every year.

Just had a shower thought.

As Twitter now requires a login and Google is apparently de-listing most search results for Twitter, it technically qualifies as a dark web website, something the media and Hollywood love to throw around as a scary phrase.

(It seems users still show up in Google and also some tweets, I just wanted to hear your opinions)
