Maybe it's Placebo but I definitely get much better quality of sleep in the winter time. I keep my room very cold and I have some nice big heavy blankets to keep me warm in the bed. And winter is by far the time of year that I regularly wake up feeling refreshed and not groggy

I don't need to be able to read German to know what this is about. Universal fear
Depends on the content. For cooking recipes i actually prefer them. I don't have to skip through multiple minutes of fluff. I get the ingredients, the steps, quick and easy (ofc some creators don't give measurements in shorts but we just block those ones)
Same with looking for a new show, quick clips give me an idea if i may be interested, have found a lot of shows that way. Various hobbies also have great little intro howtodoX short videos.
But 99% of shorts are not those, and imo are worthless trash
Yes, talent is oversold and used as an excuse to often HOWEVER there ARE differences in people's skill level and rate of learning. Especially if learning disabilities are involved.
I really really wanna draw regularly. And i practice regularly have for years. Ive gotten much better than couple years ago me but overall my art still sucks (others confirm not just the usual artist hates own work) and it's mainly because i have a learning disability that affects my spacial reasoning and ability to visualize shapes.
This may come as a surprise to some people but that makes drawing very difficult, i can't get proportions correct and I struggle to find shapes. My best drawings are ones that i practically traced the initial outline to get the shapes. AI generated art absolutely makes getting an idea out of my head more accessible. And i can then trace the outline of the ai art and draw the rest myself.
I know people hate it but just blindly saying "anyone can draw just do it bro" is basically just as worthless of an argument that ignores reality
Hell yeah, both because fuck the cybertruck AND because i want the electric motors to make actual fun electric stuff. Like go carts with more torque than they have any right to have or something idk.
I'm going to work off the assumption that they were supposed to all be red but one of them refuses to not be blue and we are just pretending that's a feature now
And that is fine if you feel that way, but it's not going to match the majority of people and it's going to prevent the platform from ever achieving any type of mainstream status.
I personally do not agree with you, I find the ux to actually hinder usability. I do use Mastodon, because otherwise forming an opinion on it would be stupid. I regularly still struggle to find content I'm interested in on Mastodon, searching all the different instances is a pain. Hashtags are not adequate most content is never even tagged, even the stuff that is tagged might not be tagged in a way I expect because everybody tags things differently. This makes searching for Content I'm interested in very difficult.
I have to actually invest a pretty sizable amount of my time on Mastodon just trying to find something on Mastodon I want to interact with. Compare that with something like blue sky I open the app and the algorithm has already figured out what I like just from me liking stuff as it appears that I'm pretty much instantly greeted with a wall of nothing but stuff that I'm interested in in some capacity.
It's coming from a corporation that just wants to make money but the end result is that they gave me something that I was actually interested in immediately without me having to jump through a bunch of Hoops and that's just objectively a better user experience
Not only that have you seen user-generated content? There is absolutely no consistent tagging whatsoever. That is like the worst way to find things because everyone will tag things differently assuming they even tag it at all
Considering Mastodon sucks from a UX perspective i don't blame them or users. Mastodon seems to be a great case of Open Source and decentralized being so fervently followed that people ignore the absolute real problems with it thus ensuring it will never become any type of mainstream.
Actually trying to find interesting content on Mastodon is fuckin awful, bluesky learned what i liked and hands me new awesome artists pretty much daily. Combine that with the whole having to select an instance and remember how to use it and cross instance posting and blah blah blah and your average person is not even going to look at Mastodon
I did this in high school, it was just a basic script that spawned a warning dialog box (the kind thats always on top) that just said you can't close this, part of the script action was making tge task scheduler check every few seconds if the script was running... If it wasn't then run it.
Since I was making the task scheduler do the checking it meant even if you tried to task manager force close the script it would just open again in a few seconds, it was not a permanent task it was a temporary one and every opening of the script would reset that task so basically the only way to get rid of it was to restart the computer as that would clear the task.
I mean can you really blame people? The developers have kind of gone out of their way to try and piss off literally everyone. And any attempt at criticism is called bullying and shut down
It actually does help! Many commercial grade dryers have exactly this feature and it does exactly that. You can sometimes find it at brand new laundromats and I can confirm it somehow magically stops them from wrapping into one big old ball
