Thats what I said. I said it is either a Christian or Consumerist occasion.

That barrier is to stop falling rocks ending up on the road.

Guy was driving like an idiot, most likely to hear his exhaust sound in the tunnel. FAFO I guess. It's the murdered passenger I feel bad for.

What an awfully written and excessively reductionist article.

Arguing against Christmas as a Christian or Consumerist occasion would have been a better use of their time.

I don't have a low spec rig myself but here are some games i've gotten a lot out of that'll run on most anything...

Terraria, Grim Dawn, Chronicon, Heroes of Hammerwatch, Vampire Survivors and Into the Breach.

Lmao, no it won't.

Seems like an absolute ripoff.

Fair enough, I totally agree about Ubuntu, although Mint doesn't have most of the bad Ubuntu stuff. What it does benefit from is Ubuntu's superior hardware support, PPAs (most important for up-to-date Mesa) and GUI stuff like Driver Manager/Update Manager. For a beginner or casual user there's no contest.

Yes, I know Mint is downstream of Ubuntu, that's how I know it doesn't include Snaps. What exactly other "nonsense" is there or was your statement just a general LMDE puritan hand-wave?

Waterfox. As I understand it, Librewolf goes to extremes for privacy to the point where it may impact your browsing experience. Waterfox cares about privacy too but not to the same extreme.

Which Ubuntu stuff does Mint Cinnamon have? I thought the point of Mint was that they removed a bunch of that stuff like Snaps.

I think Koreader has built in progress sync.

A little bit of google-fu goes a long way ;)

Have fun!

I've been having an issue with images not displaying on lemmy.zip for a while (can't remember if this has been since I joined or not).

I believe it has to do with cloudflare filtering VPNs (I use Mullvad usually on Amsterdam or Dublin).

In the attached image you can see images not showing including the lemmy icon and my avatar.

I need to go to images.lemmy.zip and click the cloudflare challenge to "verify I am human" then go back to my home page and refresh for the images to reappear. I have to do this every 30 minutes.

Everything else on the site works fine so I assume something needs relaxed on images.lemmy.zip specifically?
