Maybe I'm wrong in this but it's all status quo. If you are in a group who has power but you're losing that power then you need to change the status quo. But that's never to impossible without a disruption. You need a bit of chaos and using the metaphor, you need to have water coming into the boat for people you change their seats

Information is valuable and nobody gives it away for free. We have access to a worlds worth of crappy, unvetted trash information. But the vast majority of the good stuff is still locked away as it always was.
