Arguments against:

  • meaningful positive change for the common person won't be achieved via an elected candidate. If that candidate was willing and able to make some actual change, they wouldn't be on the ballot. Voting in a representative democracy is illusion of choice.

Arguments for:

  • liberals (in the social definition) and conservatives view democracy at least as a tool to get what they want. Conservatives want to twist it to perpetuate and enforce their view of the world, liberals want to get increasingly slow incremental change. It is a losing battle for liberals, but there isn't enough class consciousness for actual change to happen. I'd rather side with the liberals than the conservatives.

As if that cutty not being torn to shreds as soon as it approaches the bunker

Man I hope it is a crpg. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Larian could make an amazing third person action game, but there are tons of 3P arpg of varying degrees of quality and production value. There are very few crpgs of good quality and good production value.

Born and bred honduran here. I'd guess this will negatively affect Asfura's campaign, but it'll be tight between him, Nasrallah and Moncada. Though I'll be honest, out of them all, Nasrallah is pretty much the lesser evil here. If it were up to me I'd be voting for Ávila but, sinple majority means he won't get the job

Mostly Star Citizen with my buddies, with some Rimworld, Oblivion Remaster, and M&B: Bannerlord when by myself.

Agreed! I loved Battle Brothers but I'm not a fan of RTS in general, so I wanted to give this a try purely out of what I think of the studio.

It's more small unit tactics than a big ass army rts where tactics boil down to rock paper scissors. It was very cool setting up my mg team and vehicle on an SBF role while two teams pushed up flanking, only to get flanked myself because I did not use my drone effectively. I mean that sincerely.

Think the biggest innovation they did for csgo was molotovs, and for cs2 was smokes being affected by bullets and explosions. Other than that, I think it's been largely the same.

Though do keep in mind, I have about 30h across source, csgo, and 2 combined; odds are I missed stuff.

Really? Fuck. Well, guess that leaves Jeff Nippard and LeanBeefPatty as still solid, hopefully. Been away from the lifting world but that sucks about Mike.

Addendum to 5. Taste twice, salt once. Especially if its a sauce, since flavors intensify as it simmers.

I usually taste right at the end to avoid having my tastebuds grow numb to flavors. Even then, if I have someone nearby, I'll give em a taste and ask for notes.

Oh and an addendum to 4. Learn proper techniques and maintenance of cooking equipment. A dull knife is an unsafe knife, especially if you don't know how to chop.

A burger worth half a damn (in both taste and portion) in Burger King will cost me nearly as much as a smash burger with jalapeño aioli and loaded fries from a local burger joint. Pizza Hut/Domino's is the same, there's a proper italian dining place less than 50m from my place, prices are comparable but the taste just isn't there for Pizza Hut or Domino's.

I'm a very stingy person but that price difference is not worth the difference in quality.

Yeah. Like an image of harry in the style of old soviet posters (in how shadows and colors are managed) could be very cool.

Hey all, I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to networking. I'm trying to set up a Foundry server on my PC, using Tailscale to bypass not having a public IP. The first time I set Tailscale up it worked perfectly, I asked a buddy to try and access and he reached the log in screen. The second time, when a session was supposed to happen, it didn't work; tailscaled.exe would launch and immediately quit . I was a few versions behind so I uninstalled, rebooted, installed the new version. Now, I'm getting those same errors regardless of what I do. I'm honestly not sure what to mess with to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

So, uh, Chinese Room. Think they're the walking sim guys. Vibe looks different to the first one, less gothic punk and more succulent goth mommy. Not sure how I feel about it. Guess I'll wait for vertical slices.

Hi all. During lockdown, as many others, I looked into new hobbies to take. Woodworking was one of them, bought myself a small saw, a regular saw, some small clamps, a drill with a 1 inch hole bit, two thingies with blades on to smoothen boards (called cepillo in spanish, blanking in the english word for it), and an electric sander. However, I don't really have much space for woodworking. My backyard is a no go, as is my front yard.

Keeping in mind the gear I have available, what projects would you guys recommend? Always wanted to make my own furniture, but that seems way down the line.
