As a socio-political platform Reddit is going down the drain in the last few weeks, with a lot of permabans meted out at anyone with posts considered "violent" by Reddit standards, especially comments regarding right-wing American political figures.
Keep the lights open, man.
Not just an email address and IP address, but also knowing what browser and even user behavior, and banning the alt account 30 minutes after the main account being permabanned. The fuck they were possibly using.

The audacity of that asshat running the place, just to please an even bigger bastard by banning anyone insulting the world's right-wingers and despots.
Appeal system is useless.

In the subreddits that have anything to do with politics and/or lambasting right-wingers, any comment or post with even the mildest language criticizing a certain controversial personality now gets a fucking instaban. They don't care how you defend yourself, a spade is a spade to them.
Otherwise some mods do tend to be on a powertrip.
Stuff like medical record portals, financial websites for my companies retirement plan. Stuff I have little choice about. And most fail silently.
