They had something come up and have now messaged me. I've edited my comment above.

You responded from the wrong alt with a series of three logical fallacies.
I made a mistake. I thought it was 14 per dressing. I'm sorry.
I'm in the US. I'm not sure if Amazon will allow me to ship directly to you. If someone confirms that it's possible then I'll figure out how.
Was it organizing when we created hexbear, funded it, and hashed out the rules together?
Is education part of organizing?
I find your comment laughable, particularly because you've flaunted your PhD in your username.
I understand. But, every time I ask for lower cost alternatives from one of the doctors in my family they've always good ideas. While I don't know what they are, and certainly don't know what's "best", there almost certainly exists a practical and effective alternative. And, I wish I could be of more assistance in helping you find it.
You may speak to me as a moderator and in private. I'll provide an example, nothing more, and only under the condition that you don't subsequently bother me with whatever it is you or anyone else thinks about it.
I'll help in this limited fashion only because you've solicited and also sit in a position of authority. If I had the resources to really give a fuck about this then I'd already have registered an account and composed a post.
Edit: Regardless, I will disengage from this thread entirely.
Edit 2: As expected, the "moderator" didn't bother to message me.
Edit 3: The moderator has now messaged me. I lacked patience.
I agree that right now hexbear is mostly full of shit and that it's unlikely anyone is currently organizing there. For example, I just said that above but you didn't bother to read and think before speaking.
I'm glad we've now this common context. But, I fear what qualifies as a "discussion" to someone who starts off so poorly.
My friend, you're probably better off with two products: wound dressing and common modern iodine. That's not because it's the "best" medical solution. It's because you're far more likely to gather the necessary funds to fund the "adequate" medical solution.
Even someone with a relatively sane and informed post history such as yourself can't handle the softest of criticism without mockery such as,
New site tagline just dropped
Then, the vanguard usually defects.
I've seen it all before. And, I'll see it all again.
Thank you.
I was there on reddit and at the beginning of hexbear. I thought about coming back. But, right now hexbear is tolerating a culture that equates good faith disagreement with a personal attack, that makes shallow judgments, that's far too ready to attack without wisdom. Good faith discussion with a hexbear user appears to be the exception, not the rule it once was.
Over the decades I've followed the vanguard from movement to movement as each scales and then fails. I'd perceive this as the beginning of the end. But, none of the other movements began with such sound ideology. Recovery may be possible here where it was not elsewhere.
I may once again join you. But, not today. I don't have the resources to invest what I believe is the bare minimum required to serve the community.
It's MAGA, neolibs, and now hexbear.
.ml never responds to my attempts to register.
So, lemmygrad, what's up? I'm assuming that because most of lemmy thinks you're "tankies" that you've been demonized for setting a high bar for good faith discussion, that the user base likes to think before speaking.
