Absolutely no problem. I've done decades of programming in C, and it's absolute fine. For a bigger project, you need discipline, yes, but there are bigger projects in C out there that prove that this can be done.
Actually, my error rate is way below that of my coworkers who do C++ and C#, despite that I'm working directly on the iron (i.e. there is no OS between me and the processor, no interprocess protection, or similar).

Diese "Probleme" würden mich jetzt mal interessieren. Denn das Ballen der Menschen nutzt den Menschen selber am wenigsten. Es macht sie höchstens besser kontrollierbar.
Die Zersiedlung wird ja auch nicht durch die Politik gefördert - Die nicht-Bezahlbarkeit des städtischen Wohnraums, die zu der Stadtflucht führt, ist das Resultat privater und gewerblicher Vermieter und Verkäufer, die den Hals nicht voll genug bekommen. Die Politik kann keine Mieten oder Verkaufspreise festlegen. Die Unattraktivität und Unbezahlbarkeit des Wohnraums ist eine Folge von Gier und Spekulation. Und das wird schlimmer werden, nicht besser.
Großstädte gibt es seit tausenden von Jahren.
Und seit Tausenden von Jahren zerfallen Städte wieder, wenn sie zu groß sind. Man kann nicht versuchen, Menschen in Städte hineinzupressen, wenn nicht genug Ressourcen zum Überleben da sind. Das funktioniert nicht, denn bezahlbarer Wohnraum ist eine zentrale Ressource.
Anders ausgedrückt: Das hochgelobte Experiment Großstadt hat sein Verfallsdatum erreicht.
Die Frage ist: Was verlangen die da an Miete? Das ist ja schon öfter so, dass die Leute, die eine Wohnung bräuchten, die exorbitanten Mieten nicht zahlen könnten, und die, die das Geld haben, nicht in Wohnungen rein wollen, die weit unter ihrem Standard sind.

I had it worse. I needed to book a hotel for a business trip, and they offered me two prices: Either take them cheaper, but you cannot cancel or get a refund, or you can spend a bit more, and cancel it up to one day before arrival for a "cancellation fee", which amount was not disclosed at that moment.
I booked the latter one, and in the booking confirmation it said that the cancellation fee is exactly the same as the cost for the room!

I would not decry this. He is not looking for a strong, viable candidate. What he wants is a perfect bootlicker, and based on that criteria, she is prime VP material.
