The fun thing about this is that the more the media doubles down on "he's a right-winger!", the more united the rest of us may become over him.

Think about it - Hardcore right-wingers in the US strongly wish to associate with "their own" team/teammates. If Luigi had been left-wing, this division tactic could have worked to convince a number of them to turn against him. Instead, highlighting his conservative viewpoints gives right-wingers more reason to cheer for him.

Meanwhile, left-wingers and their diversity tend to identify less as a single "team." They've got more free-thinkers, both of the scientific "skeptic" mindset and of the artistic "open possibilities" mindset (or both.) Either way, there is recognition that they aren't all going to agree 100% with each other on everything, but they still recognize that we're all in this together.

Oh, absolutely. I can’t imagine Musk is used to it. I gotta admit, I get a petty kick out of the idea that he’s struggling to keep a kid in line. After living in that privileged bubble surrounded by “yes men” and outsourcing parenting duties for so long, he’s suddenly at the whims of a small child. That loss of control is massive.

There is so much going on in this picture, and nobody looks comfortable. Musk looks like he's struggling to keep the kid next to him. The guy with the earbuds behind him seems alarmed for some reason. Everyone else looks bored at best.

Though to be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if every room Musk went into had a mix of people feeling either bored, alarmed, or desperate to escape.

Have you tried the Lex app?

It started off as a WLW text-based dating app, modeled off of old school newspaper personal ads. Over the years, it has evolved into a queer social media site (with dating as one of its key components.) Highly recommended. It's where I found my girlfriend. :)

Just a reminder that it’s not a binary world

Obviously. That's why we're in this "bathroom" situation to begin with.

My brothers: Punch each other, wrestle each other, cram each other into pillow cases and cardboard boxes, all the while yelling and screaming.

Mom: Says nothing.

Me (daughter): Doesn’t want to “sit like a lady” when watching TV, and wants to play in the dirt. Complains when she’s expected to keep herself to a higher standard than her brothers.

Mom: Sighs Girls are so much more difficult than boys!

Goddamn, way to make me flashback.

There was a point in my life where I was facing homelessness, was constantly job searching but hearing nothing back, and had to count coins to make sure I could afford to eat each day. Not only that, but the closest family member, who had invited me to stay with them if things went tits up, had just died two days before in a sudden and tragic way.

And my then-bf dragged me to a bar, where he and all his friends told me to “just let it go” and “loosen up” as if the basement rock of my world hadn’t just eroded out from under me. I sure as shit couldn’t afford bar prices, and not a single one of the group offered to get me anything, leaving me stone sober while they all got shitfaced. I ended up crying alone in the bathroom for an hour, and when I came back out, “bf” was getting a fucking lap dance from his friend’s fiancee.

That wasn’t even the worst part of the night. It definitely got darker before the light returned.

I’m okay now, over a decade later, in an infinitely-better place with supportive friends and partners. But man, what a journey.

The absolute worst are the micro-managers. They don’t want to do work, but they also don’t want to delegate.

Instead they opt for that limbo between, where the only “work” they do is redundant at best, and every employee under them feels like a vole being tracked by a hungry hawk.

Trump: Get off that beautiful couch

Vance: Believe me, I'm trying!

I got the same vibe. From the kid's expectations and reactions, to the parents' own words on the incident:

“I don’t think Rotschy [the company] failed my son in any way,” Derrik’s dad said. “All these events culminated into this accident.”

The kid is on defense from the moment he tells his mom that something bad happened to him, then his dad absolves the company of any wrong-doing. Healthy, loving, supportive families don't react like that. If his parents aren't chugging the kool-aid, I'd be astounded.

I was kicked off Medicaid at the start of this year and subsequently lost access to my ADHD and depression medication. In February, I moved to a new area and got a new job, but had to wait several months until I qualified for health insurance through it.

After that point, I had to wait for a weekday when I wasn't working and when I had the mental capacity to tolerate back-to-back disappointing phone calls... all without medication that would make the process significantly easier to tolerate. These are only the calls I've made today.

Finally, FINALLY, I have an intake appointment scheduled.

It's absolutely shameful how much a struggling person is expected to do in order to access basic mental health care.

For real. The fact that all of these are just more Republican lies is extremely disappointing:

“She’s committed to banning fracking, phasing out internal combustion engines, and rolling out the most progressive Green New Deal yet,” another section of the Progress 2028 plan reads.

“will support a nationwide gun buy-back program that will take dangerous weapons off our streets"

“Let’s remove barriers for undocumented immigrants who are undocumented!” one ad states, adding, “Access to affordable housing, driver licenses, and fair wages creates a stronger America for everyone.”

Republicans are so detached from the American people that they think these ideas would scare us. It's no surprise they suck at parody, but by putting these words into Harris's mouth they run the ironic risk of pushing undecided Independents or seemingly-ignored Progressives to vote for her.

he told his supporters "to go out and vote on 'January 5th’”

Yes, listen to your dear leader. Mark your calendars and make sure to visit the polls in January. We all know Trump is always right and knows exactly what he’s saying, which is why it’s so important to only follow what he says to do. Don’t listen to any of the liberal lies about when election day supposedly is. They’re just trying to confuse you with more FAKE NEWS.
