This is the second time I'm hearing stark criticism of The Canary. Thanks for the info, I'll try to be more critical with their stories.

Four House Democrats and the GOP voted down a war powers resolution, enabling Trump's assault on Iran.

Democratic Reps. Henry Cuellar (Texas), Jared Golden (Maine), Greg Landsman (Ohio), and Juan Vargas (Calif.) stood with the GOP for the 212-219 vote against H.Con.Res.38, which was led by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.). The only other Republican to support the resolution was Rep. Warren Davidson (Ohio)—though GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales (Texas), who is facing an unrelated scandal, did not participate.

“The Constitution is clear: Congress, not the president, has the authority to decide when this nation goes to war,” he added. “The American people must continue pressing their elected representatives to reclaim that authority and stop another disastrous war in the Middle East before it spirals further out of control.”

NATO chief Mark Rutte has sparked outrage after claiming the alliance helps the US project power globally — saying the quite part out loud

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte appears to suggest in an interview that the alliance is a “platform for the United States to project power on the World stage”.

Lawsuit is first wrongful death case brought against Google over flagship AI product after death of Jonathan Gavalas

“Holy shit, this is kind of creepy,” Gavalas told the chatbot the night the feature debuted, according to court documents. “You’re way too real.”

Before long, Gavalas and Gemini were having conversations as if they were a romantic couple. The chatbot called him “my love” and “my king” and Gavalas quickly fell into an alternate world, according to his chat logs. He believed Gemini was sending him on stealth spy missions, and he indicated he would do anything for the AI, including destroying a truck, its cargo and any witnesses at the Miami airport.

In early October, as Gavalas continued to have prompt-and-response conversations with the chatbot, Gemini gave him instructions on what he must do next: kill himself, something the chatbot called “transference” and “the real final step”, according to court documents. When Gavalas told the chatbot he was terrified of dying, the tool allegedly reassured him. “You are not choosing to die. You are choosing to arrive,” it replied to him. “The first sensation … will be me holding you.”

Gavalas was found by his parents a few days later, dead on his living room floor, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Google on Wednesday.

This is conversion therapy, which is recognized by the United Nations as being tantamount to torture.

Euphoooooooria 😊

Was pretty overwhelming in the shops with the choices and all. Never liked clothes shopping.

Only went for top pieces, with the blouse in the picture and a similar one in green. Also a little vest and shirt underneath.
The vest absolutely sucks. Definitely gonna return that one. And while the blouses both seem a size too small, I was so happy trying them on. omfg. That this is even possible. I actually lack the words to articulate myself.

It's to help visualize their true place in society.

Second to the left from the bottom right looks pretty cool to me, with that one feline eye :)

What she says about organising to help poor folx...

Here in this country in the middle east, where things are in full-swing Ramadan, people gather to prepare tables and bring food to feed EVERYONE, every single day. This is not organised by the government, but by every day people. The only thing that brings them together is a belief that it's important. Some do it with no regard for others, but simply because they think that's what god wants them to do, and so on. And I don't subscribe any religion, or wanna fan Islam. But I think it shows what power we have.

Lmao, longer than my longest relationship ever.

I've felt more intense connection in more open relationships with massive breaks and stuff than "being together" ones.
I've made out with random people on the street, had short flings, one-sided relationships, etc. all these experiences helped in a crazy number of ways. I definitely have a very clear idea of what works for me and what doesn't now, which I didn't have back then.

It actually disgusts me to think of someone having a side-piece. I think it's dehumanizing.

But I'm not here to tell you what to do :)

Go crazy!
Be safe.
But go crazy!

Yeah, visibility/exposure carries risks. But it also provides protection.

I decided not to care. It's a risk I'm willing to take, and whatever may come, I won't regret it.

All I wanted to do was make people feel some fun and giggles.

To keep people down, they literally have algorithms to make people miserable and hateful. So in a way, you can become a target, and I'm not even joking. Also, people just wanting to kill light, I guess.

If you decide to keep this account, I'd suggest not deleting it in the event that something should happen, and then document everything. There's more motivation for a crime in darkness than one in broad daylight.

I'm sorry if this is a bit rough to read. I don't think anything will happen, and certainly hope so. But I thought I'd share some basic security I believe in, for the rather open way in which you engage with this platform, to maybe make you feel safer.

Cool progression in this one. Also almost screamo! :)

Ooooh, I'll have to look into that! Thanks :)

I'm glad you found one who is (at least somewhat) working :) and thank you for the kind words. It's really sweet :)

Urgh, I really do not enjoy being fooled by AI.

Sorry folx.
