Just when you thought "Chat, Is This Real" meme couldn't get much worse - now it progressed into the next stadium.

When I was a kid I had a theory that I'm the only conscient being in the world, and that everyone is some sort of a robot.

I couldn't share it with anyone, because obviously no one was real but me.

Honestly, no. As much as bitter we all are towards MAGA cultists, they are still people - most of them poor, uneducated, hopeful and manipulated. All these traits are especially relevant in my point.

They are poor and uneducated, because they were born in an inherently broken environment that gave them ultimately zero chance at life. I wasn't randomly spawned in a house such as theirs, and I had an insane luxury of being born and raised the way that allowed me to form self-consciousness and empathy which was needed for me to end up as a socialist.

They, however, are stuck in an endless circle of misery and they need to be helped. Don't blame the people, blame the robber barons that feed them with lies, hatred and simple solutions for insanely complex problems. These that are easy to digest but awfully deceptive, vile and false.

And don't expect brainwashed people to be reasonable about their political interest. Don't hate them for them not having been given dignity by the system that is broken.

Frankly, if we're talking EV, then it's really hard to point out on actually eco-friendly vehicle. It's just a no-no with their absurd weight and how their battery production hurts the planet.

Sorry, but you seem to have really wanted to throw in your conspiracy bullshit. That isn't to say it's entirely untrue (just for the most part), but still very much unrelated.

Is it being electric a must? I can give you a handful of great options if you're also into ICE cars

Then get yourself an electric wagon, and if you really want the space - a minivan or a van. There isn't a single case where an SUV would be the most adequate option.

Yup, looks good to me

Sorry, what exactly is your point that goes beyond the comment you're replying to?

[–] ddplf@szmer.info 2 points 3 days ago

You'd have to meticulously prepare the area beforehand and then make sure that you throw the guy the right way

I'm not sure if I get your point, I think car makers do try to make your everyday bun and greens fetchers often overly stylized and aggressive.

Take for example the late Ford Mondeo/Fusion (2013-2024 IIRC), which absolutely and intentionally ~~stolen~~incorporated the Aston Martin design.

All the VAG beaters (VW, Skoda, Seat, etc) are furious at everybody for being around them and taking their lane, even if there's only one lane.

Hyundai Staria is some dandy looking son of a bitch, and it's a soccer momma van!

Even the good ol' janky Dacia is doing it's best to look way above it's pay grade.

Frankly, at this point, it'd be harder to name a brand that isn't aesthetically going through a mid-life crysis. You know? Go for it! Give me one.

People are storming the streets and town halls, Elon is dissolving the whole country and Trump is busy tending Putin's toes. Where the fuck are the democrats in all this crisis? It feels AOC is doing all the heavylifting while all the rest of them smug bunch are just watching with "told ya dis was gunn happen" drawn on their face.

Please tell me my ignorant ass is just blatantly wrong because I ain't getting any news.

You'd think a hegemony with a 100-years tradition of upkeeping democracy against major non-democratic players, would have some mechanism that would prevent itself from throwing down it's key ideology.

Is it really that the president is all that decides about the future of democracy itself? Is 53 out of 100 senate seats really enough to make country fall into authoritarian regime? Is the army really not constitutionally obliged to step in and save the day?

I'd never think that, of all places, American democracy would be the most volatile.
