This really captures the reality of the situation, and is exactly what pisses me off most about these uber-wealthy: they are cheapskates to their very core and will not give up a penny without being a fucking Karen first

I just imagine he has a giant carnival wheel that's marked with all sorts of reprehensible things to do and he just spins it whenever he's bored and proceeds to executive order whatever he lands on

Planets? We don't need planets where we're going 😈

There's nothing good in America because there's nothing good in Americans. I should know, I was one.

That's a level of self-awareness this country could use tbh. My man's not afraid to admit he's got nothing good in himself in service of making the greater point that none of us Americans have nothing good in us either. 🥂

I know this isn't really a universal indicator, but for me it's been watching the price of simple things like chips, candy, and soda ($3 for a 20 oz bottle?!?). All things that i enjoy occasionally but as the price of all these things continues to rise it becomes easier to say no. I was shocked to see the bagel place in town charging $15 for a sandwich on a bagel. Nobody seems to bat an eye though. I think I'm probably just getting gradually priced out of my town ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Of course I'm aware i don't have to buy any of that stuff and i can cook and make food at home, and that's what I've started doing. I may treat myself on occasion but i just can't justify spending that much on stuff that didn't used to cost half that. I'm probably just getting old and remember "back in my day" all too well, lol

What stuck out to me was how differently the Democrats and Republicans present for the moment had such different recollections and perspectives on what actually happened. Leavitt claimed Padilla "lunged" at Noem. According to the article, he didn't even get half a question in before he was "bundled" by FBI and security. Really makes you wonder who's telling the truth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ more importantly than that it goes to show the truth doesn't even matter. Assholes like that can lie blatantly and those that want to believe what she says will simply take her word...or perhaps worse, see the truth for themselves and deny it anyway.

That's pretty much what they're stating here--they're telling protestors in Florida to skip the non-lethal weapons

I got some great responses last time i posted here looking for help finding a PC for my home. Now I've got a friend that's come to me looking for help selecting and setting up a PC for music recording with the app Reaper. I'd be installing Linux Mint and the machine would be used primarily for music recording, no other major applications. It doesn't sound like it would require a real powerhouse, so we're hoping to keep the costs down if possible. Form factor doesn't really matter in this case, we really just want something simple and reliable.

Last time i inquired here, the consensus was that I'll probably be best taking my specs/needs to the nearest Microcenter and see what they recommend. Does it sound like i should do the same in this case?

Thanks for reading! I appreciate any help you all can provide!

I've been listening to vaporwave for almost 10 years now, and in the past few of them i have started finding/seeking out mixes to broaden my range and find new stuff to enjoy. There's probably like 12 i could point to that all are solid gold in my books, but i want to narrow down to the best of the best (if such a thing really exists, what i love about the genre is that it's all over the place and there's something for every individual taste)... Anyway I'll post 3 that i really really enjoy to get things started. I would L O V E to hear what y'all are enjoying. Here are 3 mixes i can very very highly recommend:

Just amazing, this was the mix that set my vaporwave world on fire, i would strongly recommend checking out the entire p l a z a suite by S o u n d S t a t i o n on YouTube--it's arguably the best collection around, imo.

Next I'll recommend one of the hottest, upbeat mixes that had the prestige of being the "most played track" according to my music app (i like to download these mixes and make a super-mix to default to, lol)... Employee of the Month by Sega64. Absolute bangers throughout, truly a top-tier mix imo.

More recently i discovered a channel where they were posting fresh mixes weekly for a hot minute, though they have pulled back on the frequency of their submissions. Tons of good stuff among their collection of videos, hours and hours of curated goodness. It was hard to pick just 1 to be the one i recommend, each mix goes so many places! Either way, here's a great place to start:

Please share your favorites! I'm all ears!! A tip of the hat to fellow vw listeners 🎩

I'm looking to build a reliable, basic, no-frills computer primarily for Internet browsing and watching movies. Not sure if it matters, but it would be running Linux Mint. I may also look to do some amount of photo and/or video editing on it at some point too, but i don't have any real needs for gaming with it. There's a million choices when it comes down to the mobo and cpu and all the rest of it, though i think i know which case i want to get so i think that may help narrow my options. (Fwiw, it's a Fractal Designs North model case I'm considering)

Any advice, please?

Edit: thank you all so much for your responses, I'm really glad i posted here! I have a much better sense of which way to go now. I really appreciate the time y'all took to help me out. 😄
