Hey now. I'm American.

And I agree with this message.

It doesn't exist yet ๐Ÿ˜… as I said, still learning and trying to avoid using AI as a lot of vibe coded discord clones popped up. I did compile a list (which probably needs updating)

You're right. And that's why more of us need to contribute and spread the word of projects to support them.

Honestly, FOSS is our last bastion against this consumerist hellscape. I'm working on learning to build my own discord-like front end on matrix specifically for gaming. But I'm just one guy. We've all gotta pick where we place our effort and support those around us similarly.

Vaultwarden taking over bitwarden, should they shut doen as open source, I think would be entirely worthy. But it might need more people to either help vaultwarden or maintain it on their own, you're right.

To me, seeing and learning about all of these projects gives me hope. All of these people and communities working to build things out of passion and dedication, because they care and want to provide value to others. No profit motive necessary. We just need to be there to support them as we've tied capital to our survival currently.

Oh look. How nice. If anyone could afford hardware right now.

Instead, entire towns are being abandoned by utility companies for data centers.

You tell me. Many people don't like dialectical thinking.

But this makes me think back to a video I saw not long ago about clean room engineering.

Now, while obviously dangerous for open source, could we not utilize AI in the same way to legally recreate proprietary software and code and release it as open source? As a means of fighting back?

Has Vaultwarden said anything yet? I imagine that, if necessary, given that bitwarden's client is still open, at the point they choose to try and close it, we, the users, can fork it and establish it for vaultwarden, correct? Or, maybe even the vaultwarden team will think about forking it themselves and making a light client as well to pair with the current server.

But Vaultwarden can exist without "leeching" they just haven't needed to yet. That's more symbiotic than parasitic. The parasite class just took over Bitwarden after all.

This really does feel like Patriot Act 2 - Corporate Boogaloo. America is quickly entering our "papers, please" era. Combined with NSPM-7 sounds like a great way to clamp down on dissent and normalize mass surveillance by targeting children. Which politicians, especially conservatives, seem to love to do. Probably because they aspire to be Epstein class.

Many people don't know that the Nazi party took many an inspiration from the American south. Even the Nazi's were taken aback in some cases by how harshly white Americans treated blacks and wrote segregation into their laws.

Nazis respected the confederacy, even looked up to it. "Where did all these fascists come from?" Well, they were always here because we didn't punish them enough. And project paperclip welcomed in Nazi members, even SS members, and gave them land.

Colbert should work with Meidas Touch network to get the crew rehired and work on their own shows. I believe Meidas even reached out to give Colbert and team full creative license if they were interested. Watch the YouTube viewership just slide right over. And, truth to power and all that.

The page is blank to be fair lol

And most democratic leadership is either too inept, bought out, or just actively enables our fascist takeover. They're uninterested in doing what's necessary to serve the public as opposed to serving themselves and their donors.

Absolutely, no argument there

Not the artist, and I don't disagree with you. But the flag prominently features the Star of David, so I can see why the artist would have used it.

Arguably, the Israeli government is a major reason for growing antisemitism with how hard they're working to blur the line between the government and ethnicity. A simpler person won't draw the distinction.

If there's no point in voting, what's the point in following the law at this point? That's the only thing holding up this system of governance, the will of the people. Should the people feel the government has become tyrannical (aka consistently ignoring the direct democratic will of the people through their votes) then it is the duty of the people to alter or abolish it. The Declaration of Independence says as much.
