While it looks good, maybe it's my ignorance but it feels like you're replacing Google with somebody else that will have the same power over you, am i mistaken? I am very much against the "all your eggs in one basket" approach after Google so not sure if replacing it with these people won't be a repeat of the same thing
Doesn't that require an external account and running the fucking Origin client on device? I've seen that go to ludicrous levels of discounts (currently at freaking 92% discount) but FUCK THAT!

Note of amusement: The GitHub issues tracker for that proposal got swamped with tickets either mocking this crap or denouncing it for what it is, this morning the person who seems to be the head of the project closed all those tickets and published this blog post, in essence saying "Shut up with your ethical considerations, give us a hand in putting up this electric fence around the web". Of course that didn't stop it.

I can think of one: it's FUCKING annoying, I'd be quite fine with the creator watermark in the video itself (and many do so), but that extra tacked-on logo clip, usually at 2-3 times the volume of the clip itself, is EXTREMELY annoying, i understand what you say but this is also a legitimate reason
