3 years might become 10, there's such thing as a "carousel prosecution" in Russia: your sentence ends, you are ready to leave and get another one for some nonsense; rinse and repeat.

I hope this girl is not that important tho.

Quote hard to find mean not wrapped in plastic. Here in Germany unpacked meat costs thrice the price of packed meat.

Don't; no one deserves to be annexed by Russia. Or am might be very happy making Hungarians very unhappy.

What a joke of a person. Wish he starts burning in hell yesterday.

I see. Thank you for a clarification!

Lenin was also an extremist and a dicta. Stalin took the cake, but I'd say it started earlier.

I used Firefox for decades, and now test out forks like Librewolf and Fennec. Sometimes I use Vivaldi if I go chromium.

I usually go for budget phones, whilst my home laptop is 10 y.o. Never had an issue with performance.

Well. I did when I overused redundant extensions, but now I know better:)

Pardon my ignorance, what's a XUL Gecko?

Trust me, he's a raging fascist (going by Eco's definition) and a nationalist in the worst sense possible.

After WWII it's enough to call your enemy a nazi in Russia to get public support - the trauma is still there. Of course he's using it.

From a Russian living in Europe; nice to learn I'm a nationalist from a lemming who really checked.

But I agree partially: nationalists in immigration are most likely not to change their politics inclination that easily.

Apologies for being sour.

I feel badly, of course, and have 2 observations.

  1. As we know from many credible reports, Russia directly supported the raise of populism and polarization of societies in many countries. There are Russian traces in Brexit, AfD raise, USA elections in 2016 and 2024, etc.
  2. What I see currently in the USA reminds strongly of what happened in Russian politics across the last 3 decades, but squished into months, not even years.

So yeah, I'm worried. But I also hope that once Putin is gone, many authoritarian political forces would fold like a house of cards.
