You forget the last time ATCs tried to stand up for themselves, Regan fired the entire industry..

Yeah but Reagan is dead this time!

Look, we don't just elect anyone, here. How many pussies have they grabbed? How many bankruptcies? These kinds of things are the bedrock of our election standards, established in 2015, and cannot, in good conscience, be unanswered.

That shit died, or suffered a major blow under Reagan. It's only been downhill since. I'm old enough to remember the yearly increases to the federal minimum wage before they stopped all that at like $7.25. I think my first job paid $6.40. Every time this dude is on TV he's grinning like some doofus or laughing too hard from the lukewarm farts leaking from trump's mouth.

Can't record the police, but if someone was recording a news segment and a cop happened to gun down a jaywalker, would they have to stop filming or streaming their feed?

Ooooo boy, you don't know what you're missing! Its like glue, but less stigma for not being a crafting supply.

UK has stricter food standards...

Maybe for food safety, but not for taste or presentation! Hard to fail food safety when you only eat cardboard!!

Read before commenting, please...This is all a joke and I hope you took it in stride. I couldn't help but dunk on the trope of tasteless UK food. I meant no harm! ❤️

He's not there because of his qualifications, but his allegiance to tRump. Same with all of his picks. It's all calculated so when they pull the noose tight no one will be able to stop 'em!

My faith that things could be better was snuffed out during COVID. I watched the true empathy gap between myself and those who couldn't be bothered to do the bare minimum without whining like a 5-year-old throwing a tantrum. What optimism I had for a better life for my child vanished in 2020. I'm a shell of the person I used to be.

I don't know what the future holds, but if it gets much worse, I don't know how I'll survive.

I just hope one day we can replace austerity with taxes on the rich. Also, I had the same thought voting for Pritzker, the first time.

Oh, the choice is a shitty republican that sucks or a billionaire. Yippy!

I was so glad my defeatism and low expectations turned out to be wrong.

Our property taxes suck ass in IL. My house and property looks worse or doesn't change year after year, yet my taxes never seem to somehow increase YOU. Gonna keep saying it, but for being wealthy, I didn't have high hopes for Pritzker, but he's been great!

Might need to given the stench.

First, I have no idea what some of these things are called or I think I know but I'm also second guessing myself the whole time. Also, I've never bought glass from anywhere but a local head-shop. For instance, this bong is almost 20yo. Please forgive me, if I apply incorrect nomenclature to any of the parts.

My bong's inner pipe, I think it's called a joint, broke several months back. I searched online shortly after but there were so many variables to consider that it kind of seemed overwhelming. I'm hoping there's someone within this community who has experience replacing a bongs' hardware. I have some measurements and images with the measurements included if anyone needs to see them. All of the measurements below are approximate mm -> inch conversions.

  • Depth from rubber grommet to lowest part of chamber: 115 mm, 4.5 in

  • Inner glass diameter (joint?): 14 mm, 0.5 in

  • Inner glass diameter (bowl?): 8 mm, 0.3 in

  • Diameter of lowest chamber (don't know if this is needed): 107 mm, 4.25 in

  • Diameter of bowl chamber (don't think this matters): 30 mm, 1.25 in

I would appreciate recommendations you all have for reputable glassware replacement sellers (from first-hand experience, preferably). In addition, I don't think the depth of the join needs to be that long, that's just the max depth. Thank you in advance for any suggestions, recommendations, or numbers to filter for when finding a replacement!

After a lot of planetary landings, I finally found one! Galaxy is Hilbert Dimension!

I used to have no issue with this, just like the person from this reddit post, where my music app would resume playing if it was the last app with media playing via Bluetooth and I did not actively close the app since the last time it played.

I am having this same issue, with this same phone, running (I assume) the same Android version. Ever since I got my Pixel 7, I've had no problems with Bluetooth resuming in my car. I'd listen to Deezer on my way to work, my way from work, and as long as it was the app of choice, it would start playback as soon as it connected back to my car. I received a few updates recently and now that doesn't happen. Now it just shows me what it was playing, but never starts it, and I have to go into the app, itself, just to "wake it up" to play.

Anyone seen similar? I've unchecked all things that I know of which could stop an app from running in the background, or with loss of connection to devices. It's not set to close at all for any reason, yet it almost seems like it does. No one has responded to the OP of the cross-post so I figured I'd extend this post to Lemmy and see if anyone has an answer or suggestion.

Soon as my phone is paid off I'm going to Graphene or some other alternative to Google's trash.
