Not even that true. Yeah sometimes they would create a domestic compradore bourgeoisie but the majority of indigenous collaborators were just tossed aside once they were no longer useful. The US treatment of collaborators is not at all abnormal, empires are a rotten thing and always have been.

I upvote things I like sometimes when I remember. I downvote things that don't at all belong in the community they are in, get important facts disastrously wrong and then double down, and hateful content.
Yeah sure, but the difference is that this absolutely could be easily documented. Most iranians have phones, most could record evidence and save it for when they do have outside communication. Most news agencies would jump on this evidence and even pay money for it because it would support their narrative. We have significantly more means and a significantly greater motive (in the eyes of the american state atleast). We are not in the 1940s anymore. Not to mention that the US and Israel had access to Iranian street surveillance footage for years and would have produced video evidence for their claims if they could. You should read the brookings institute plan for US policy towards Iran.
