Wow, too much Persona. I really liked P4G, but after such a long game, I generally want to play something completely different.

If you do something nice, remember your friends from other communities too. 😀

Nice, any tips of Japanese learning? I have only just started it. And by just I mean, learning it for "days", not even "weeks".

Zippy bot woke up 10 hours late 😀

Started Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout last month (or was it month before that?). Haven’t finished anything though. Hopefully will finish it this month! If I finish it soon enough, want to play the XC3: Future Redeemed DLC, so that these is some gap between that and XC: X when it releases.

Heh, I guess I'll wait for the reviews of DKC Returns HD before getting it.

[-] slimerancher@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Yeah, going to give it at least one more try. Let's see how it goes.

That was a nice song. 😀

Hehe, a very valid point, but I am assuming they won't give their most hyped game to such a new team.

But then again, it's a Ubisoft AAA game, so even with all experienced devs, I don't have very high hopes for it. They make great smaller games (Rayman, PoP: The Lost Crown etc) but then they decide not to make any sequels.

As a dev (but not a game dev), this can be either good or bad, depending on how the team is grouped, and what their development flow is.

Half new devs means, half of them are veterans, which would also include team leads and the managers, who will plan, review and test whatever those devs are doing, so if their workflow is solid, other than some slowdown in development speed, it shouldn't cause much issue.

Donkey Kong Country is the only Donkey Kong I have actually finished. I made heavy use of save states, but made a rule that I won't them within the levels. So, basically used them as unlimited lives, and boy, did I need those!

Started Donkey Kong Country 2, but it's soo difficult. Want to get back to them sometime though.

Have heard good things about Bug Fables. How are you liking it?

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

Playing Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. The game is very chill, but bosses have a difficulty spike. There was a mini boss before that killed me couple of times, then had to go back and use all tools in my arsenal to beat it. Same thing happened with this boss. Was breezing through everything, then half way through the boss battle he did an attack and everyone died.

Not a big deal though, there are few equipment upgrades I can do but skipped because I ran out of specific materials and since game was already pretty easy so didn't bother with them. Going to gather the materials now.

Started (and finished) Superhot, it's the most innovative shooter I have played in years. Got it as PS+ monthly game a while back but hadn't gotten around to it yet.

Game is a low-poly first person shooter where time moves only when you move. Plays more like a puzzle than a shooter, or well, at least felt like that to me. Everyone, including you, is one hit kill, so you have to avoid the bullets and kill all the enemies. When someone dies you can just pick their weapon from the air before it falls down, pretty fun.

Also, it's a pretty short game, finished it in a single sitting, took me less than couple of hours.

Finally got Age of Empires 4 on Steam autumn sale! Have been meaning to get this (or AoE 2) since I upgraded my laptop, finally got 4 yesterday on sale. Used to play Age of Empires a lot in my younger days, specially 2. Had tons of LAN parties, so looking forward to get into it again. Was never a great PvP player though, so going to stick to single player for now.

What about all of you? What have you been playing?

Finished Spider-man 2, completed everything to 100% and got the Platinum. Now playing through main story again in NG+ for a single DLC trophy. Should be done with in a day or so. Haven't decided what to play on PS next, will probably just play some WWE 2K24 as a secondary game or maybe some other small game from my backlog.

Will start focusing on Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout from this weekend. Even with that, it's a pretty long game, so will probably take a while to complete.

After some deliberation I have officially dropped Trails in the Sky: SC, I was enjoying the game (other than when I got stuck at the boss), but remake is launching next year, and I won't be done with the full series before that, so will play that when it launches.

I started Pillars of Eternity on PC, had it in my backlog for a looong time, tried playing on my old PC once but it couldn't run it properly, so finally getting around to playing it. Not going to focus on it, will just play it a bit here and there.
