Oh I agree but thing is it's principles for me. I spoke to a coworker recently about this in relation to a bad worker and if they should go to HR. My argument is I can't rely on other people to speak about the challenges so it's beholden on me to do that for those that may not want to take that risk.

It's only a job. I make damn good money but if I got let go because of my principles that's a good reason.

Just watched this last night and like the first it's a genuinely enjoyable popcorn horror.

What I hate is the goddamn monster. It's stupid. Personal opinion works much better as an unknown but that's really my only gripe.

I loved the scene with the dancers and them fighting here it was so creative.

I'd argue Jackie Brown is also the movie that cements Tarantino's ability to craft a masterpiece. I really don't think there's a comparison to his other films because it's so opposite to his other films but my god it's a beautiful film.

If anything I look at Jackie Brown and I can see his love for film more than any of his other movies. Not by a little either. By a lot.

Ok fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

You want to sweep shit under the rug for the sake of your own convenience. Regression and repression is the conservative way.

God forbid we empower our children.

Or engage with them but expect the repercussions.

I'm very candid when this shit comes around my corp and am extremely nuanced in explaining the culture challenges.

The trick is to not explicitly call anyone out and highlight it's a systemic problem.

As a jaded adult TF can, TF1 was the movie I didn't know I needed, and in perfect poetic irony Hasbro has pulled the plug

The best TF movie since the original G1 movie and all done lol

And herein lies the problem. The absolutism of removing any and all responsibility from the American public. Anything to avoid looking in the mirror I suppose.

If there was a way to make a Lemmy gold that is basically a donate for the instance the user is on that would be pretty cool.

So if someone gets a "gold" it means that the person who gave it donated to the instance that person is on, or the instance the giver was on

I love this an RIP Lemmy.

Not an American but Ontario is also fucked and Canada is soon to be for the same reason. Sadly I have been prioritizing the survival of me and my own as well as their well-being.

I still have a lot of love for my neighbours but I can't trust them anymore. My neighbours are increasingly ok with corruption as long as it's their team doing it. They're ok with systemic racism and bigotry when it's their team setting the rules. They're ok with setting out elderly and our children up for failure with a collapsing heath and education system so long as their team is setting the rules.

They've been brainwashed to not be objective. It's scary. There's a reason why it's always a talking point to defund PBS in the US or CBC in Canada. God forbid there should be any semblance of an impartial news outlet that cares about the constituents first and the narrative last.

It's not that a vast majority of our neighbours have lost the plot. It's that there's despicable people in positions of leadership which are actively encouraging and feeding those people.

I don't have a solution. I just know it's disgusting and I wish people would wake up but I fear it's not going to happen until their bloodshed.

In the next 7 days do something positive.

  • Chat with your neighbour about something.
  • Chat with a coworker not about work.
  • Chat with your spouse.
  • Chat with your kids.

We got this.

Edit - Tierra Whack. Google that shit. Listen to it. Embrace it.

Should be self-explanatory. They essentially have all the same apps as a phone now.

Anyone else notice this? Also if you look out into the water where the DLC supposedly is to be you'll notice everything is "pulled in" and closer than it should be. Caelid tower is way too close.

This all fits because you need to invert the tower and there's so much reference to the DLC in the Carian Study Hall

There's something I just love about big cities that have little pockets where the bones are exposed a bit more.

For any android users like myself you may have been using Swish which was made by a reddit user but since the API bullshit the app still works for games but there's no live/post game thread access. I just submitted a request to see if we can get it integrated with Lemmy :)

User accounts are fragmented and just because you signed on at lemmy.world doesn't mean your account exists on lemmy.ca.

https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/1985

Communities are fragmented and /c/games on lemmy.world is completely different than the one on lemmy.ml with its own users, set of posts, etc.

Lemmy does not currently allow for instance or user migration.

https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3057

Nor does it allow for shared communities (ie the aforementioned /c/games is unified across multiple instances)

https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3100

We are in the early days. If you're eager feel free to join in the development on these any many other core issues. There's real potential here.
