long game - for the first 3 hits, you weren't allowed to cherry bomb

long game forevermore - can't cherry bomb this round

no bobbling - bobbling is where you would repeatedly "juggle" the ball with one hand since holding the ball wasn't allowed

nice and easy - nothing resembling a hard hit allowed

I'm sure there was more that I'm not remembering. It was up to the king to declare which special rules they wanted to play with that round before they served. "Long game forevermore and all that crap" was used to declare a standard set of special rules most of us would use, but you had to pay attention since it wasn't always declared. Rule breaking was a regular thing, but would slide if it was done in a funny way or if the other 3 didn't like the person who got out.

There was another actual event at the end of Burning Crusade with similar mechanics to this. Plagued grain barrels spawned in cities, and players who interacted with them would die and spawn as an infected zombie. They were able to attack other players and spread the infection in doing so. My memory is pretty hazy since it happened so long ago, but in Shattrath (a high level neutral city), the zombies weren't able to be attacked (probably due to pvp flags being forced off within the city limits), but in the faction cities, they were. This led to mobs of zombies roving around in Shattrath, pouncing on any unfortunate player they could find, where players in the faction cities formed subjugation squads and would patrol around, exterminating any zombies in sight.

Something else interesting was zombies gained access to another language (Zombie), and since Shattrath accommodated both player factions, you were able to speak to zombified members of the opposing faction.

There were other "healers" during the pandemic, like those who would 3d print face shields and such for emergency workers. I also remember seeing shitheads do things like spitting on and licking items in stores for the social media shock.

Sure, but these same companies will drag you to court and rake you over the coals if you infringe on their copyrights.

I am well aware, but not caring what my food tasted like would make things much easier.

Some people don't mind bland food or eating the same thing all the time. As someone trying to lose weight, I envy them.

Gunpla and similar plastic models.

This is pretty much me. If Linux and associated software like Proton were at their current state 10 years ago, I would've made the jump by now. At this point, I just can't be bothered. I work in IT, so I already deal with computer stuff at work, and I really don't want to tinker with my pc at home as well. I bought some extra storage a few months ago, partially in preparation to try Linux, but have yet to install it.

Not to mention many science nerds are also nerds in other subjects, as well.

My favorite example of this is still in Silicon Valley, when the group was trying to calculate how long it would take to jerk off 800 men. I believe the study was actually conducted by some folks from Stanford University.

Skyrim.

I tried it for 25ish hours with around 30 mods, mostly QoL stuff with a few other tweaks thrown in. I don't like 1st person melee combat (and the 3rd person camera sucks), so I went magic. I had a magic overhaul mod, but the best spell I found was just double fireball. Every time I tried other spells, I would think "this kinda works, I guess, or I could just kill them with double fireball." Combat got pretty boring, since every engagement boiled down to double fireball until out of mana, then use bow and arrow until everything was dead.

Side note: I evidently was bitten by a vampire at some point and didn't realize I had turned into one myself until several hours later when I received the message that my vampire powers had been fully realized. I was confused as to why guards kept asking me if I was sick and commenting on how I looked so pale.

I picked up building plastic models a couple years ago since my tech hobbies don't really interest me anymore. I like working with my hands on my own terms and it's super satisfying to look at my completed projects.

Yeah... in the Pixar animation, it looks like the I gets flattened, rather than going inside the lamp. Homeboy there might be in trouble.

This is probably my most involved project so far. I liked the Nether Emperor ever since it was first announced, but the color scheme did not say "nether" to me, so I changed that. I learned a lot, especially in regards to shading. I applied some orange fluorescent paint as a wash to the inner frame to give it a molten look.

Nothing too fancy with this one, just panel lining, G-Rework decals, and matte topcoat.

This is a special edition of MG Freedom 2.0 with Cross Contrast and clear colors. It also came with unique water slide decals and a clear Action Base 1 instead of the crappy stand that other MG Seed kits get. I panel lined with silver enamel paint and sprayed matte topcoat to give the clear parts a frosty look.

Now that I'm done with model shows for a while, I've shifted gears and decided to work on some girlpla for a while. This one is mostly a straight build, with a bit of panel lining, some decals, and matte topcoat. Overall, it's a good build, and great value for what comes in the box, including 2 full models and lots of accessories, not to mention pre-painted and detailed pieces.

✨THE GUNDAM BASE CHICAGO IS COMING WINTER 2025 ✨

"THE GUNDAM BASE" launches its first permanent North American location at Fashion Outlets of Chicago!

Stay tuned for more information.

Great news for builders in the USA. This will be the first permanent Gundam Base stateside. Even if you don't live near Chicago, it's still closer than Japan.

I played with lighting a bit to see if I could get it to glow more.

How's it going? What are you building? What are your thoughts on it? Any issues? Any kits you have your eye on?

Inspired by the P-Bandai iron-blooded coating kits, I decided I could make my own and do it better. I used the ZeroPlan Wolf Claw kit as well.
