Hi guys,

I got my Yubikey plugged in to my USB. Is it safe? Or should use it only when logging in?

I am in the process of moving out some contacts from Google Contacts, specifically those that I do not have a Gmail address. It's a way for me to give these people a tiny bit more privacy, as I'm doing a cleanup of my contact list. My concern is that Google will still keep their data even after I delete it from my end. Is it so? Or does removing a contact really delete it from there?

Nevertheless I chose my Yubikey instead.

Stumbled on this program called Anytype a while ago, a note-taking application similar to Notion. It's surprisingly well polished and works for me.

They have a lot of aspects which seem like they'd appeal to more privacy-conscious people. Plus decentralization should appeal to Lemmings of course. But as far as I'm aware I've never heard anyone talk about this program. I was wondering if this is just due to obscurity, or if there are reasons it's not often recommended.

I use it in my normal Firefox setup, but I've been playing with Mullvad browser and I've kept everything to the defaults so I have a good option when I want a little more anonymity without needing the nuclear option (Tor) for sensitive-ish-but-really-not-all-that-sensitive browsing.

I'd like to add Redirector into the mix, and my inclination is that it shouldn't affect the fingerprint because everything is handled clientside from start to finish with that add-on, and the redirect is handled before the browser even connects to the redirected site. With that said, I'm honestly not 100% sure if simply adding an extension of any kind would be enough to change the fingerprint and cause me to lose out on some of that sweet, sweet herd anonymity.

Anyone know the answer to this that can fill me in? I would appreciate it. :)

As the title says, I have been using Proton Unlimited for almost a year; I mainly use Proton Pass, VPN and mail. Mail and Pass are pretty good. However, proton VPN is hit and miss because of the constant loading, slow and unreliable servers.

How have others gotten friends/family to make the switch? I’ve been doing a cleanup of my digital life over the last year or so and am trying to move to using more privacy friendly alternatives where possible.
