A Community to talk about Music from the Australian perspective.

Telling stories of Australia through music.

With few exceptions, Australian acts are permitted to have one hit in the US charts, then fall out of the international limelight.

Those acts however often have lots of other cool songs!

There are also several Australian acts that just aren't famous globally.

Those pools sound like they'll be a nightmare for lifeguards, but the festival sounds super awesome!

Anyone been to it?

How fucking stupid do you have to be to play Jimmy Barnes at an anti-immigration rally?

Perhaps most significantly, the injury led Fountain to explore new levels of trust in her collaborative process. She allowed producer and bandmate Dave Khan to share in and support her songwriting far more than ever before. “It afforded me an opportunity to explore a new level of trust in others and myself with my songwriting… it’s teaching me still.”

'Teamwork' has become such a clichè, and too often people who refer to its use do so in a blaisè way that essentially makes it meaningless HR filler word. I find bands that write songs together are a sure fire indication of someone who actually understands the benefits of collaborative work.

Posting a bit late on a Friday so it’s for both the big party nights now. Tip? Playing in Brave browser or using an app like Revanced or Invidious will stop ads *on YouTube videos.

Go nuts.

Ben Gerrans – London Lights (spotify link)

Heard the tail end of this on Triple J in the last few days, had to look it up and dance to it, the kids aren't fond of it though :(
