Dude this is obviously a big coming out letter right? He's bi. It's literally right on the cover. My BIDAR (it's like LIDAR but cooler and people pretend it doesn't exist) is going off in like every song, the album is about the duality of the mask we present and the emotional reality of our inner lives, framed as two parts: "Bravado + Intimo". Everything about it is bi and it's like that scene with Eminem in that stupid movie where he's like "yeah I'm gay, I've been leaving breadcrumbs the whole time." And the chiron reads "HECTOR'S RECTUM REAL???!!" lol. Tell me you don't immediately see what I mean listening to this:

(IDK - Mario Coins)

If this is supposed to be a secret I'll delete this lol cuz yeah I don't see anyone saying this but I am not super into social media so IDK (😜) but it doesn't seem like a secret at all to me, he even says this is supposed to be the album that is like a reintroduction to him, which sounds exactly like a coming out album to me in yet another way. It all lines up, to me at least. Not trying to blow up his spot but I honestly think that's the intended interpretation. Am I late to the discussion and just my search engine sucks? Because I already think it does (pretty sure that's endemic) so I may be. Either way I absolutely love it. I've not been keeping up much with music and I'm trying to catch up and this guy and his album is my part of my latest round of discovery.

Maybe I'm just being weird and projecting. That has happened at least once.

There were 2 hiphop groups in the 90s that came out with almost the same song at the same time.

IIRC, one group was from around Atlanta, the other group somewhere in or near the Midwest like Indiana or Chicago.

Again IIRC, they sued each other in court for plagiarism, and the Midwest group was ruled to have been first.

Again IIRC, one of the groups had a number in their name.

I'm thinking that this was some kind of dance craze that was circulating through HBCUs at the time, and these groups just recorded their tracks to reflect the music.

Both songs' refrains were very similar, with the difference of 1 or 2 vowels or letters.

Again IIRC, the refrain was similar to the "Hey... Ho..." refrain in "Hip Hop Hooray" from Naughty By Nature is used there, but I'm almost positive that that was not it.

Does anyone remember what those songs and groups were?
