Shermy and Patty stand facing each other. She spreads her hands and exclaims,"I can't marry you, Shermy!"

He follows her as she walks off. He asks,"Why not?" She replies,"I haven't known you long enough!"

As she stands on the steps facing him, he asks,"Well, what do you expect?"

He concludes,"I've only been alive for a few years!"

As they walk up some steps, Charlie Brown says,"But not any more..."

They stop and face each other. Shermy smiles as Charlie Brown concludes,"My grandmother lives in the apartment right above us!"

He walks down the hallway.

He looks at the clock which is sitting on a cabinet with a vase of flowers behind it. He is puzzled.

He smiles and looks up at her with his hands outstretched, holding his right hand slightly higher than his left one. She looks at him and says,"Ten minutes to three? All right, thank you"

The first time Charlie Brown appears in his signature zig-zag shirt.

Charlie Brown looks over to his right and says,"Looks like it may get a little colder...." Shermy looks up into the sky and agrees,"Yes, it looks that way..."

Charlie Brown turns to walk off and raises his hand in farewell. He says,"Well, don't take any wooden nickels!" Shermy also turs to leave and lifts his hand in farewell. He says,"Don't do anything I wouldn't do!"

Charlie Brown walks along concluding,"Now there was a real adult conversation!"
