Point being, all of us that are here are the ones cool enough to come here. We are unified by the desire for a better social media that is not-for-profit and user driven. And that makes this community unique compared to the scabs advocating for Reddit. The people who will belong here will come here. :)

If you have your “head in the clouds” you’re fanciful and out of touch, but if you “reach for the stars,” which are impossibly far away, you’re an ambitious go-getter.

In order for a Social Media site to be popular, it has to cleverly turn up the evil dial several notches behind the scenes. It would never really "get ahead" in mainstream popularity without the assistance of said evil, which says something dark about human nature.

The hard part of recreating the Reddit experience while kbin gets off the ground is that there’s very little stuff to repost.

I wish it were possible to tell advertisers “Just because I bought this once does not mean I want a second one or something similar but a different brand. I already have one and that’s enough, it’s done give up.”

I have over 350 Chome tabs open in Chrome on my phone, I'm going to remove Reddit so I don't open it out of reflex and spend my normal Reddit time reading all the articles in tabs I opened but never read.

I fucking love pizza. It's my favorite food.

I thought about this literally in the shower yesterday as I was trying to prop up my waterproof bluetooth speaker somewhere I can hear it clearly. I like listening to music or podcasts while I'm in the shower.

For some reason, the speaker didn't want to stay in its usual place and kept sliding out.

Then it occurred to me. If I had a chip connecting my brain to my devices, I wouldn't have to deal with any of this. I could, well, you get my meaning.

I won't buy one from Elon Musk but the technology is tempting.
