Chinese ROMs come without support for many languages. Even when using English there are still things which are in Chinese.

The people selling the devices on AliExpress are selling then with a "global rom". The issue here is that the rom doesn't exist officially. So no updates are available and you don't know what's actually inside it.

xiaomi.eu provide a modified version of the Chinese rom with language support and some other things. The issue is they charge for this through patreon for any mediatek devices. You have to keep paying if you want security updates. This is immoral and probably illegal as they don't own MIUI or Android and copyleft is designed to prevent this kind of thing.

To add insult to injury they started offering some mediatek roms for free. When people stopped paying the patreon they removed them from the download sites.

Shame on them and shame on the AliExpress sellers. If anyone knows a good course on building android roms and reverse engineering them let me know. Maybe I can fix this situation.

Vlog feature (lemdro.id)
submitted 6 months ago by bockey@lemdro.id to c/xiaomi@lemdro.id

I have Redmi Note 12 Pro and I would like to have VLOG option inside my camera. Is there a way to install that feature? I tried to install/update camera to the latest 5.2 version, but it seems that version is incompatible. Do I need to root the phone?

This seems like the cheapest way to get a 5G portable hotspot device.

Hello!

I'm not sure if this question fits here, but I want to find a suitable custom ROM for my Mi 10. I'm looking for a (possibly officially) supported ROM with great custombility and privacy. I tried to do some of my own research, but found outdated sources.

I'm currently running Android 13 with MIUI 14.0.2

Hello everyone,

I need some help with a purchase decision: I am the father of two small children. I am therefore looking for a smartphone camera that is suitable for taking photos of my children in motion, even in poor lighting conditions, without blurring everything, especially faces. So far, only the Pixel 6 (Pro) and Pixel 7 (Pro) and the iPhone 13 (Pro) have managed to do this. However, I don't like the HDR look of the Pixel that much and it also doesn't offer any further control over photography, as the Pixel leaves the image settings less to the user and more to the algorithm in the automatic system. iPhone is less of an option, as I don't want to invest in the Apple ecosystem.

To my actual question: Is the Xiaomi 13T (Pro) able to capture photos of moving subjects even in less than ideal lighting conditions? I am sure about the Xiaomi 13 (Pro) with the 1 inch sensor (but the price has hardly fallen in my country since its release), but as far as I know the Xiaomi 13T is less sensitive to light, so I have concerns. Unfortunately, this topic is hardly mentioned in any reviews. Do any of you have animals or children that you photograph with the Xiaomi 13T (Pro)?

Thank you!
