I believe Jesus taught tolerance and love

So that's what he meant when he said

34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person's enemies will be those of his own household.

Matthew 10:34-36

or when he said:

“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters."

Matthew 12:30

So tolerant and loving! 😍

Oh come on, I can see from a mile away that's it's a metaphor

How can you tell the difference between what should be interpreted as literal vs a metaphor?

Because 35-36 explains the metaphor in 34
