I can see a place for both. Remake may hold specific things true of the original, like certain glitches and stuff that the fans held dear. Skyblivion may be a less faithful remake because of the Skyrim engine, but could end up being a more polished version given the modding environment is extensively known and they've had to recreate it from the ground up.

I could also be entirely wrong on both accounts lol, time will tell. I'm absolutely holding off on the Bethesda remake until I see some reviews of it, just to make sure it isn't a quick dirty remake for cash.

Do you really think they took the time to study the original to a point where they are going to reproduce not only the good, but the "bad": the glitches, the quirks? I don't understand how you can remake an game of such a large scale in such a short time

It's not a remake. They bolted on a new graphics stack (unreal engine iirc), everything else is more or less the aame

Don't they need to redo the 3D models and stuff? I mean...do NOT tell me they used a shitty LLM to upgrade the models and kept the rest...

They'd have to redo the models or it would look the same, yeah. But all of the weird mechanics and jankiness come from the creation engine and that's still there doing everything except graphics.
