Worth noting here that Orion is made by Kagi, a privacy focused search engine.

Yup! A huge fan of their Search Engine. pity that Orion is only on iOS atm.

And macOS, though they are starting work on porting it to Linux, I worry they are going to abandon WebKit for that.

You know WebKit browsers, like Epiphany (GNOME Web), already exist, right? I don't see why they'd feel the need to abandon WebKit in their Linux port.
