The Andromedus Galacticus Collection

Hello everyone, I'm here to let you know that the instance that I and this community reside are being shutdown at the end of this month.

I'm sorry for letting you know so late, but life hasn't permitted much time, and I've been trying to decide if I'd create another account and community somewhere else. Ultimately, I decided on not pursuing it.

This community was created to easily share things I found interesting on the internet, and in the very beginning, to help Lemmy, (and this instance) flourish with rich content.

I was posting upward of 20+ posts a day, at a time in my life where I had a ton of time on my hands, due to medical turmoil. I believed in Lemmy, and I knew the only thing it needed to be successful, was content. And I knew that if I wanted that to happen, I would have to create the communities and build them myself.

I built several communities here, that I like to think offered joy to some people, so I'd like to say mission accomplished.

My life this year, has been the most complicated it's ever been, and with that being said, I've decided to let the personal community go, along with my account.

I've truly appreciated the people that subscribed here, and tolerated some of the dumb and interesting things I've posted over the years. I hope you found things of interest, and hopefully I inspired at least one person to post their content a little more to help grow the greater community here in Lemmy.

It has been really fun sharing conversations with you all, and I hope you all continue to find joy here and in your own personal lives. Thanks for believing in Lemmy, and thanks for giving any time of your day to read what I've shared.
