The Ukraine government proper was overthrown by the US empire in 2014 for the crime of being friendly with Russia (among other reasons) and then the empire propped up a Nazi regime that spreads Russo-phobia among its populace

The maidan coup is a straight up fact. Only sounds wild to you because you're so deep in a propaganda bubble that you're hearing it for the first time through a forum comment 11 years late.
