Post bunny pics, post questions about rabbits, almost anything rabbit or hare-related goes (whether wild or domestic).

Other than that, rules should be pretty obvious: be nice, no bigotry/discrimination, stay on topic, etc.

Not officially affiliated with any rabbit subreddits.

House Rabbit Society is overall a fantastic resource on pet rabbits: info on diets, health, vet care, adopting bunnies, and behavior.

As of now, if you follow all 4 bunny communities (the above 3 plus this one), you will see little to no post overlap/crossposting, so you can safely follow all 4 without getting your feed spammed with several copies of the same bunny.

@lena@gregtech.eu I don't have a Gremmy account, could you please do both me and that bunny a solid, and tell them to trap it under a laundry hamper and take it inside? That's a domestic rabbit, and won't do well by itself outside. Cats, dogs, and all other manner of maimings and illness are in its future otherwise.

Sadly I saw it yesterday, I have no idea where it is. How do you know it's a domestic rabbit btw?

Ears, face, eyes, overall condition. It's a big squishy baby vs. the kinds of hares seen nearly everywhere on Earth. That little baby's a domestic, and given the time of year probably one of the annual Easter bunny throw-away pets.

Edit: Can you please go back and look for it, if only to give it to an animal rescue. I wasn't kidding, they get their shit absolutely torn to shreds by both other domestic pets and wild animals. It's like dropping a fat tourist into the middle of a warzone, the only thing that's going to save its ass is someone sympathetic to its plight.

FWIW, a lot of animal rescues won’t take rabbits. They have a surplus of them. I tried. A lot.

I see this as a bonus.

I absolutely hate how people treat rabbits as gerbils or goldfish though. Sure, they aren't cats or dogs, but they are essentially a small step down.

Could possibly be comparable to a cat but less of a liability.

Aw damn, that's too bad. Ironically, I've been in the same situation as OP before, but took the squishy little friend in. How many do you have ATM?
